Blairgowrie 3.2 miles. Little Norwood is a welcoming, pet‑friendly annexe set near Blairgowrie in Perth and Kinross. Offering a peaceful retreat for couples with open countryside views stretching out from the exterior and easy access to the landscapes of the Cairngorms National Park. Arrive to off‑road parking, with additional space available nearby, and step through the entrance porch before entering via the back door into a bright kitchen finished with sleek white fixtures and clean countertops, where you can warm pans on the hob, prepare unhurried meals and keep fresh ingredients chilled, ready for later. From here, the space opens into a contemporary living and dining room that feels light and inviting, with a dining table that comfortably seats four, a soft rug underfoot, and a mounted TV positioned for relaxed evenings, while a swivel armchair creates the perfect spot to settle in with a book or enjoy the view.
French doors draw you outside onto the generous decking, where outdoor furniture invites long breakfasts or evening drinks, the lawn offers space for dogs to roam freely, and extended countryside views bring a wonderful sense of openness and calm. Back indoors, the king‑size bedroom enjoys views out across the garden, with wardrobes providing plenty of storage and a TV positioned for slower mornings, while the shower room offers a refreshing start or end to the day with its walk‑in shower and heated towel rail. All set on one level, Little Norwood feels thoughtfully laid out and easy to enjoy, creating a comfortable base for switching off and embracing life at a gentler pace.
Glenshee Ski Centre draws winter visitors for skiing and snowboarding when snow conditions are right, while the surrounding mountains provide striking scenery and walking opportunities throughout the rest of the year.. The Cairngorms National Park invites exploration on a grand scale, with forest trails to wander, wildlife to spot and dramatic scenery that changes with the light. For a cultural change of pace, The Black Watch Castle & Museum provides a fascinating day out, where historic rooms, regimental stories and peaceful gardens come together within an impressive setting. After it all, return to Norwood, step out onto the decking and unwind.
The red sandstone town of Blairgowrie is situated on the bank of the river Ericht, where it emerges from spectacular gorges in Strathmore. With good shops, great restaurants and coffee bars, it makes an excellent town to start exploring Perthshire and the beautiful Angus Glens. Surrounded by rolling fields, famed for their berries, the town is overlooked by hills and mountains, and is the main link to Scotlands largest ski centre at Glenshee. The surrounding countryside is the perfect terrain for horse riding, cycling, mountain biking and hill walking, whilst golfers are well-catered for with several excellent courses (including Rosemount) locally. Gleneagles and championship courses of Carnoustie and St Andrews are also within easy reach. Marvel at the world’s tallest beech hedge at Meikleour (600m long and 30m high), see Meigle’s collection of Pictish sculpted stones, or listen to stirring tales at Glamis Castle, the setting for Macbeth and said to be Scotlands most haunted castle! The small town of Dunkeld is also worth a visit with its historic cathedral, riverside walks, impressive trees, such as the Birnam Oak and parent Larches of Dunkeld, and the Hermitage, which offers breath-taking waterfalls. Abundant wildlife frequent the many surrounding woodlands, from red squirrels, foxes and deer to Swifts, Goldcrests and Buzzards, with breeding Ospreys seen at nearby Loch of the Lowes.
