The lodge was spotlesly clean and the location was beautiful and quiet. Having acces to the hotel amenities was a great addition. It would have been useful to have been told the lodge was called and labelled 709 and not lodge 5 for the purposes of supermarket deliveries. I had emailed cottages prior to arrival to check this and they did not respond. It would also be useful if guests were told that although it is a short walk to town the driveway is very long and uphill and may be difficult for some people to manage. The staff at the hotel were really friendly and the bar and restaurant have stunning views. I would say that the food options in town were nicer and better value than the hotel itself. We really enjoyed Fern Cottage. There are many beautiful walks nearby and there is House of Bruar, local distilleries and the highland chocolatier for rainy days. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back.
