Ivy House is a short walk to the local Co-op as well as restaurants and cafes and take aways as it is situated on the main street in Kingussie. Kingussie, a quaint town in the Cairngorms National Park, provides a perfect base for exploring the natural wonders of the Highlands. Guests can venture into the nearby hills for hikes, partake in outdoor activities like water sports, skiing, snowboarding, bikes to hire, quad biking, horse riding or explore the local shops and cafes that give Kingussie its unique character. With being part of the Cairngorms National Park there is so much to see and do for all at the same time enabling you to spend time locally in Kingussie, if you are lucky you might get the chance to go along and watch a game of Shinty which is renowned in Kingussie and neighbouring Newtonmore!

The space this house has is fantastic. It's big and welcoming. The kids loved their own rooms and the lounge was more than big enough to comfortably fit a family of 5 with room to spare.The bedrooms were impressive too!We stayed in summer hols and parked my people carrier on the street with no issues. Kingussie is a great base with take aways and a local coop shop (as well as some tourist ones).We loved the water sports at loch insh and walks from the house and nearby were fantastic.I would also recommend climbing Cairn gorm starting from the ski station (don't go up/down the stone access road mind you) it's not too big a climb.
