Guests say

Broomhouse Lodge is a spacious cottage praised for its tranquility and wildlife-rich surroundings. Guests appreciate its peacefulness, secure garden, and proximity to Duns for amenities. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is very positive, with many guests willing to return.

The cottage generally seems well-kept, though comments about spider webs and expired food items suggest room for improvement in cleanliness. No major complaints indicate a satisfactory level of hygiene.

The location is highly valued for its peace, quiet, and proximity to wildlife, with Duns being conveniently close for shopping. The remote yet accessible setting is a highlight for guests.

The lodge is considered comfortable and well-equipped, but there are remarks about the need for a new double mattress and itchy bedding. The garden's security and peacefulness add to the comfort.

Facilities are adequate, with a well-equipped kitchen and secure garden. However, guests suggest updating kitchenware, pots, pans, and replacing hard towels, indicating some maintenance needs.

While guests mention thoughtful touches like a dog bowl, there is insufficient information to assess the consistency of such gestures or the presence of gifts. Therefore, a score cannot be provided.

If you like a cottage in the middle of nowhere then this is for you. Total tranquility, there’s very little traffic. You mostly just see wildlife. Duns is a short drive away with a variety of shops for most of your needs. The cottage is spacious and sleeps 4 comfortably and provides everything that you need for your break. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely go back.

Beautiful cottage, with a lovely enclosed garden space. Watching the wildlife in the neighbouring fields was wonderful, rabbits and deer playing. The only downsides were lots of spider webs on walls and ceiling in master bedroom, twin beds bedding was so itchy the teens slept on the floor for the week and the towels were extremely hard, rigid and rough.None of it spoiled our week and we loved every minute. Would definitely recommend and would visit again.
