Allerton Stable is a pretty building in a good location on the edge of the town centre.Downstairs is bijou with just enough space for a couple but the bedroom is a good size. We didn't find the sofa or bed particularly comfortable (soft) but that may be down to our own personal preferences. Unfortunately, we found the wet room to be extremely cold and damp and the heating struggled to heat downstairs, despite the small space. This would be less of an issue at other times of the year.The hosts, who live next door, responded promptly and helpfully for another wee issue we had. The stable is priced well, compared to many rental properties and a few small improvements could make it an excellent place to stay

A lovely little place to stay, the area is nice with town just a short stroll away.The property is quite small, but has everything that you need.I found the sofa very uncomfortable to sit on for any great length of time, I would ended up with a sore back afterwards.In hindsight I should have really paid more attention to the fact that the toilet is downstairs, as I get older the old bones don't like going downstairs in the middle of the night.The stairs are quite narrow and creaking is a problem, if your other half is a light sleeper then the noise will wake them.Overall I enjoyed my stay but I think somewhere that has a bathroom on the same level as the bedroom is a priority for us from now on.
