Guests say

Braemar boasts stunning views and a tranquil location, ideal for beach access and wildlife watching. The property's charm and character are appreciated, with a special mention of the helpful host. However, it requires some TLC.

Multiple reviews mention a lack of cleanliness, with reports of dust, cobwebs, and sticky surfaces. The property appears to need a thorough cleaning.

The location is highly praised for its beautiful sea views, quiet setting, and proximity to the beach, making it a highlight for many guests.

Guests report uncomfortable mattresses and sofas, and a lack of space to store clothes. The comfort level is noted as an area needing improvement.

The property is described as having a quirky charm but is also noted for needing updates and maintenance. Issues with appliances and heating are mentioned.

While a fresh vase of flowers is a nice touch, there is insufficient information to assess overall thoughtfulness, and no mention of gifts to guarantee their presence.

Location amazing, property unfortunately not. Property thick with dust, cobwebs in every room, kitchen bench tops sticky and greasy and overall just unclean. Despite a cleaner had apparently been in before our arrival. Wife insisted that we went to the shop for cleaning products etc. so she could as least get it cleaned. Come bedtime, talk about knackered mattresses was an understatement, so uncomfortable that we barely slept, we only lasted 4 out of the 7 nights that we booked and went home. Even the sofa was uncomfortable. No where to hang your clothes as wardrobes are full of stuff belonging to the owner. There is loads more but too much to put in here. Property is very dated too but we didn’t mind that. We don’t expect much but we do expect a property to be clean and comfortable.

Ok first of all I want to say the where the place is is wonderful right by the sea. Once you cross the road. We had the beach to ourselves most of the time the dogs loved it. They was able to run free and not have to worry about other dogs or humans. It was outstanding. When inside you could watch the sea and watch the seals playing in the water and sunny themselves on the rocks beautiful. Now to the cottage. You walk in through a loverly size kitchen, the rest of the place is like going back in time. But not a problem for us but the place really really needs a deep steam clean, wet towels was hanging over the backs of dinning chairs and wet bedding in sun lounge, this blankets over the doors all wet from where they had beeen washed there was cobwebs, dust, and grease all over the place you could see dust on the services, the bathroom had lots of mildew in the shower, toilet seat was wood and had a big crack on the front which must hold so much bacteria and germs!! Sofa bed in the lounge was so uncomfortable to sit on put pillows under the cushions to make a little more comfy, The mattress in the bedroom every time you moved the noise they made was unreal. Please new mattress’s are needed so so uncomfortable. More so if you suffer with a bad back. First night I layed there and looked up great big lump of dust and cobweb was dangling down from the fitted unit above, many spiders and flys. We did love the area and the place just needs lots of TLC. Such a shame it could be so perfect. Yes we did stay because of where it is but I don’t go away to have to do housework before I can relax.

Great views and a quiet location . I agree with previous reviews that it requires tlc but overall we had an amazing week there.
