Situated in the coastal village of Ballantrae, this beautiful, detached, upside down style cottage boasts stunning views from the upstairs living room, with patio doors leading onto a large decking area. A private hot tub in the garden also benefits from the most amazing seascape and is perfect to relax in after a day of exploring the surrounding area.
This is a fantastic area for walkers. The property has river and beach walks direct from the doorstep and is situated directly on the Ayrshire Coastal Path, a 100-mile long coastal route with stunning views and scenery. The seaside town of Girvan, boasting a harbour and leisure centre with a swimming pool, is only a 15-minute drive away. Boat trips, both fishing and bird watching, are available. The towns of Ayr, Troon and Prestwick are all good for a day out, with plenty of restaurants, shops and bars. Heading further down the coast, you can catch a ferry over to the islands of Great Cumbrae, Bute and Arran. Glasgow and Edinburgh are easily accessible for a day out and Dumfries and Galloway is only a short drive, where there are many coastal villages, sandy beaches and rocky coves to explore. Beach 100 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 100 yards.
Racquets and balls for tennis may be hired from owner by prior arrangement for £10.

Tremendous week at Stinchar View ,it has wonderful views & had everything we needed.We were lucky with exceptional weather, owners were very friendly & responsive to our queries. ( They bought a new parasol for the balcony, when there wasn’t one available which was invaluable in the hot weather) . The local Co-op is well stocked for provisions if you don’t want to travel to Girvan or Stranraer & although the local community ran Pub is only open weekends & staffed by volunteers they and the locals were very welcoming.The road outside is undergoing maintenance to the Bridge over the river which has traffic lights filtering traffic which results in standing traffic opposite the property although we weren’t too bothered by this, the location of the property will benefit from the completion of the works.

Very nice place for a self catering holiday. Dog friendly but we don't have a dog so we were happy we found it clean and we were very happy with the general cleanliness. Hot tub was really enjoyable. Next to a main road with lots of heavy lorries passing 24/7; but we managed to sleep well as the bedrooms were located downstairs and we could hardly hear anything downstairs. Very helpful guide from the landlady who was very polite and helpful.

Beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable.Lovely cosy cottage to explore the area from with lots of little touches such as toys, towels and beds for the dogs, a welcome package for us and a very informative information folder.
