Fiadh Ruadh is a modern, luxury 3-bedroom house located within the grounds of Gartclach Farm. One in a row of three large, detached houses surrounded by stunning countryside and each with their own enclosed garden where you can sit in the hot tub and enjoy the beautiful views. You may even catch a glimpse of red deer that are regular visitors in the fields surrounding Gartclach farm. There are 3 large bedrooms, so you can choose between 2 kingsize rooms or a twin, one of the kingsize rooms has en-suite facilities and a dressing area with space for a cot.
Gartclach farm is located on the edge of Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and is close to the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park making it an excellent location for those who are looking to explore this beautiful countryside. It is a mile from the national cycle network route 7 and is close to numerous popular walks. It is within a 30-minute drive of many local attractions such as Loch Lomond, Loch Katrine, Go Ape and Blair Drummond Safari Park. Gartclach is also located 22 miles from Glasgow and 17 miles from Stirling city centres and is a 10-20 minute drive to the villages of Buchlyvie, Aberfoyle, Balfron, Drymen and Killearn. These villages cater for local services such as cafes, restaurants, shops, petrol stations and electric car charging points. The property is within walking distance of a café, gift shop and garden centre and 2 miles from Gartmore village, home to a community owned pub and restaurant.

We had a lovely stay at Fiadh Ruadh! The layout of the house was fantastic and perfect for our party of three adults and a toddler. The cows and sheep in the adjoining fields were a massive hit with our two year old, who loved going out to check on them every day. The property is exceptionally well-equipped for families. The kitchen and utility room were fully stocked, and the garden was completely enclosed and safe for our toddler to play in. He also loved the shared slide and swings at the front of the properties, as well as a brilliant box of puzzles we found in the living room sideboard (which also had games for all ages). While you can't walk directly from the property to local amenities, there is plenty to do nearby. We enjoyed a fantastic day out at Blair Drummond Safari Park, as well as a delicious lunch at the Black Bull in Gartmore. Despite some heavy rain, we also managed a walk to the waterfall at the Lodge Forest Visitor Centre in Aberfoyle, followed by lunch at the Faerie Tree Inn. About a week before our stay, the owners got in touch and were incredibly attentive, approachable, and quick to answer any questions. The welcome pack, which included lovely fresh bread and butter, was very much appreciated while we awaited our Asda delivery after arrival. Overall, it was a wonderful weekend away with the family in a peaceful, beautiful location. Highly recommended!
