Guests say

The Cottage at Wylan Hall is generally praised for its cosy and comfortable atmosphere, with many guests appreciating the warm welcome from hosts Alison and Neil. The location is ideal for walking and exploring Anglesey, with a beach within walking distance. Guests often mention thoughtful touches like cakes and treats upon arrival.

Most guests found the cottage clean and tidy, though there were a few mentions of cobwebs and unclean cutlery. The majority of reviews, however, did not raise significant cleanliness issues.

The location is highly praised for its tranquillity and proximity to the beach and coastal paths. Some guests found the single-track roads challenging and the distance from the town misleading, but overall the location was considered good for exploring the island.

Guests generally found the cottage cosy and the beds comfortable, although there were comments about the lounge being cold and seating not very comfortable. Some guests mentioned the beds were not to their taste.

While the kitchen and bathroom facilities were mostly appreciated, several guests noted issues with the shower temperature and lack of a microwave. The absence of a shower cubicle and a fixed mirror in the bathroom were also pointed out. There were not enough reviews detailing maintenance issues to provide a score.

Many guests were delighted by the thoughtful gestures of the hosts, such as providing cakes, Welsh cakes, and dog treats. However, it should be noted that these gifts, while appreciated, may not be a consistent offering for all stays.

We specifically booked it as 1/ wanted to stay in the middle of Beaumaris, and 2/ needed to be close to an electric charger so I could charge our EV, so being 4 miles away ruined this for us. When we arrived the cottage was freezing cold upstairs with no heating switched on, and we needed to wait for a while for it to warm up. WE HAVE BEEN MISSOLD WITH THE LOCATION - HOW CAN WE OBTAIN SOME REDRESS FOR THIS BY WAY OF A REFUND?

Grateful thanks for the cake, milk, teabags and dog treats which kept us going til we went to the supermarket. We were lucky enough to see red squirrels in the garden. The huge flat beach was 10 mins downhill on the way but a bit longer on the way back! Monty and Wilfy had a great time too.

The cottage is set in peaceful surroundings and is ideal for anyone who likes a quiet life. The red squirrels didn't appear in the garden this year during our stay but very often visit. Red Wharfe Bay is just a short walk down the lane, our idea of heaven and my little dog loves it to.
