Granny, daughter and two grandchildren 9 and 11 stayed for Easter week. The location and quietness are the best points of this cottage. As with Vicky who left a review for the week proceeding our stay, the standard of cleanliness left a lot to be desired. As we found out, floors were filthy to the point that bare feet or socks are not recommended, definitely take slippers! On using the hoover the smell it emitted was stomach churning. The filter desperately needs washing or changing. Both sofas have seen better days and also need a deep clean. The whole cottage needs a thorough deep cleaning. The kitchen utensils all had to be washed before use, some were covered in greasy dust and the walls had old dusty cobwebs on them, made more visible when the sun shone or lamps were lit.The owner’s personal knick knacks that are in every room were dust magnets and if so treasured by the owners as stated in the info book, I’m not sure why they are in the cottage. On stripping the double bed on leaving day the source of the musty smell became apparent. The duvet is heavily stained and all bedding is in need of replacement before anyone else sleeps there. No doubt the owners will reply to this honest review in the same manner of other reviews that don’t leave a glowing recommendation. As a family who have rented cottages over the last 20years this is the first time we’ve been moved to leave such a negative review. We are not overly fussy people but we do expect a certain standard that at least matches our own houses when renting a holiday home. It should really be of a higher standard when people are paying for the service. We obviously would not stay here again when so many other lovely cottages are available on Anglesey.

We nearly went home as soon as we arrived. This was our first time using Cottages.com , we've always previously booked with Sykes.Unfortunately the property was very grubby, it needs a professional deep clean. We didn't realise that an 'Eco stay' would mean it wasn't clean. The oven had grease and crumbs in , the freezer had a dirty hand print and grime in the seal , the beautiful oak kitchen was grubby, even had dust stuck in the grease. The bathroom light had dead flies in it , our dogs ball rolled under the coffee table and came out covered in grime. This is the first bad review I've written EVER.We love Anglesey and visit twice a year. This was once a beautiful property that's clear, but its unfair to let your paying guests stay in it as it stands .

The cottage is beautiful, very homely and comfortable. The decor is unique with some brilliant ideas. The log burner was lovely and was really cosy in an evening. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could possibly need. It is in a lovely location for a peaceful break away from it all but with lots of places to visit in easy reach.
