Please note: There is an unfenced lake 300 yards away.. Once inside Branwen you’re greeted by a very spacious open-plan living, kitchen and dining room, fully equipped with everything you’ll need for a comfortable stay. The outside area overlooks the fields where you may spot the resident goat. There’s a kingsize bedroom and a twin room, which can also be made into a super king on request. The shower room has a modern walk-in shower.
Alaw Estuary is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, set on the owner’s farmland, a truly breathtaking setting affording wonderful walking, birdwatching and fishing. There are many special beaches within easy reach, you’ll be spoilt for choice of which ones to explore. This special island has 125 miles of coastline to explore, and you’ll be spoilt for choice along the way regarding which famous sites to visit. There are miles of coastal paths to explore where you can take in the magnificent scenery whilst spotting the local wildlife.
You are just a short drive away from some of the island’s famous sites, such as South Stack Lighthouse. You can take a boat trip at certain times of the year to visit Puffin Island! The Rib Ride boats also run from various locations across the island for most of the year and offer a fascinating insight into the history and the local wildlife. There is something for everyone of all ages to enjoy in this diverse region no matter your interests.

2nd stay at Branwen. Lovely stay again .nice enclosed garden for your dog .enjoyed watching the chickens and goat behind us .nice and relaxing quiet stay .will return again 2027 hope for good weather again

We have just returned from a wonderful week at Branwen. Everything from booking through to leaving yesterday was smooth, we had no problems at all. We arrived and properly switched off in the peace for a week. We very much enjoyed our week and being able to see the goat and chickens from the house was so lovely. Our dog loved watching them, it was like free doggy tv! I wouldn't hesitate to return again.

We have recently returned from a weeks stay at Branwen, and I can say this was one of the best cottage's we have ever stayed in. The cottage is so spacious, comfortable, clean and peaceful. It has been perfect. We have loved sitting watching the chickens and the goat, and the goat has been the star of the show. The owners of the cottage Jane and her husband were very welcoming and nice to talk to. We will definitely be booking again, it was so nice.
