About this property
Llanddeusant 1 mile. A superb, purpose built, luxury holiday cottage on the site of a former chapel, in the hamlet of Elim, near the west coast of Anglesey. Stylishly presented with reclaimed chapel fixtures introduced throughout to add character, including original vestry doors, church pews seating and window sills fashioned from former church pews, the attention to detail is excellent. The kitchen is spacious and well designed around a central breakfast island and merges with a dining area located in front of bi-fold doors that open onto the inviting rear garden, bringing the outside flooding in. A spacious, formal sitting room is located on the first floor with comfy sofas wrapped around a woodburning stove and patio doors opening onto a Juliette balcony and revealing stunning country views and amazing sunsets.
A further reception area on the ground floor has been created to form a cosy snug room also with a woodburning stove, ideal to escape to for some peace and quiet with a good book and perhaps a glass of wine. Off the kitchen you will find a relaxing games room with table tennis table and further seating, ideal for the kids to make their own space. The bedrooms are split across the two floors, with a king-size double bedroom with en-suite and a twin bedroom located on the ground floor, and two twin rooms, a double bedroom and a king-size double bedroom on the first floor which also enjoys an en-suite bathroom.
With delightful countryside views from this Llanddeusant cottage and a choice of three sitting areas, two with warming woodburning stoves, you will be spoilt for choice for where to relax after a long day at the beach! The property was very well equipped, warm and very comfortable. The table tennis was a bonus. Best direction with sat navigation is to put Elim in as full postcode can be problematic. We loved the owls at night. Two things would have been appreciated a visitors book to leave suggestions and potential visits, also it was the first propery in over 30 years not to have a welcome package, particularly as arriving late in the dark means a journey to the shops along narrow lanes. Otherwise great.

We had a party of 9 Adults 2 Children 1 Baby and a dog. There was plenty of room for all of us to have our own space and more than adequately stocked. The rooms were massive and with it raining for the first day and a half the table tennis came in very handy. The toddler loved running up and down we did find though he was Just the right height for the table tennis table and he banged his head on it so many times we put padding around the 4 corners which worked perfectly. There was plenty of hot water and the pressure was brilliant as 3 of us all had showers at the same time and it didn`t affect the pressure. The bedding was good quality and the duvets very warm. All the lawns were perfectly kept but the garden is not secure if your dog wanders. My dog Lily loved it and doesn`t wander so for her it was brilliant. It was nice having the horses at the bottom of the garden as the children and myself loved them as I have one at home so it was nice to see them. Everyone loved the big kitchen and wanted to take it home, it was the heart of the house. Would definately go again but maybe earlier on with possible better weather.

We contacted Sykes and, whilst they were happy to change it, would not transfer our deposit. I found this very disappointing considering we werenât cancelling, just transferring. This is the only reason for my rating as Chapel House was lovely! Clean, comfortable and very spacious! The owners were very friendly and offered to help with anything they could. We had a lovely stay here! One very slight drawback for us is that we had a young g puppy and the garden was not fully contained! Other Than this a lovely stay! Thank you Ian and Cathy
