Guests say

Penrallt in Cemaes Bay is a well-received holiday cottage, praised for its comfort, prime location, and thoughtful touches. Guests have enjoyed the welcome hampers, cosy atmosphere, and dog-friendly environment. The property's proximity to the beach and village amenities, along with its spaciousness and comfortable beds, have been particularly appreciated, making it a recommended stay for a relaxing holiday.

Most guests found the cottage to be very clean, with only one review mentioning issues with cleanliness, specifically animal hair and other aspects. This seems to be an isolated incident, as the majority of feedback is positive regarding the property's tidiness.

The location is consistently praised for being in the heart of the village, close to local amenities, pubs, and beautiful beaches. The convenience and appeal of the surrounding area contribute to a high score for location.

Guests have repeatedly mentioned the comfortable beds and cosy atmosphere of the cottage. The spaciousness and homely feel have contributed to a high comfort level, with only minor suggestions for improvement.

The property is well-equipped with a welcome hamper, games console, and a garden decking area. However, some reviews noted minor maintenance issues and a need for better instructions for appliances, which slightly lowers the score.

The welcome hampers and additional touches like toys for children and treats for dogs have been highly appreciated by guests. While these gestures are warmly mentioned, it's important to note that such gifts, though common, are not guaranteed with every stay.

Fully equipped cottage with everything you need. 5 minute walk to the beach, Morrisons down the road, fish and chip shop. New ice cream shop- was only open at the weekend but we were there in December. X2 pubs that welcome children. Local Farm with milkshake vending machine and the most amazing coastal walks. It is the most relaxing laid back place. Wound recommend Gladys to eat or just a drink, great food not to expensive. The pub overlooking the beach also does food and is good. Owners Cheryl and Mike so accommodating and really care, mentioned that last time I needed I clothes rack and it was there this time ♥️ x Most amazing arrival hamper with all sorts of goodies that the children loved. Returning again and will continue too ♥️

The house is on the High Street, it’s a holiday home and has signs of the usual wear and tear, but goodness me the facilities are second to none, the beds so comfortable and I don’t think Mike and Cheryl can do one more thing that can make it more your home from home. Cannot recommend it highly enough. We had a medical emergency at home and had to leave in the middle of our holiday, the support from our hosts was superb and they even refreshed the house, in case we were able to return, we were told “ .. just to drop everything and go..” when I apologised for not being able to tidy the house to our usual standard. The freezer door would not close, it was sorted by the time we returned. There’s a cottage we’ve stayed in a few times where I have reported the same fault over a three year period and nothing has happened, this is the difference with Penrallt, the whole emphasis is on you having a lovely holiday. In Cemaes Bay how can you help it? A stunning village on wonderful Anglesey and this house is a gem open, light, comfortable, warm, spacious, clean, no parking (directly to the front) but a free (free) car park in the next street! There is a parking bay opposite, but we only managed parking there once, absolutely no problem and you can pack and load your car even without a space, the chicane creates a little bay where you can tuck in. The house is superb like it’s hosts.
