It would be easy to leave a review about how the owners are 'trying their best', but I feel the need to be honest. Positives - the property was lovely and clean, beds were comfy, distance to the beach was great, and the bathroom was lovely. Kitchen was well equipped with plenty of extra plates, cutlery, etc.Room for improvement - overall, it felt like the property wasn't ready to be let out as holiday accommodation. There were 3 bedrooms, but only one chest of drawers (total) to put clothes away, which was problematic given the time of year, it would also be a struggle in summer. I'd recommend removing the dog crate from under the stairs, most people travelling with dogs will take their own beds/crates. Instead the space could be used to hang coats (no coat hooks or anywhere to hang coats currently, again problematic if the weather is awful), add some storage and or a shoe rack - just use the space more effectively. We like a minimalist space, but upstairs especially really lacked character and didn't seem finished - just a couple of decorative items/pictures would improve the feel of the place and cover the bad patch work from the plasterer in places. It was also absolutely freezing and didn't really warm up until the second day. There's an issue with hot water in the shower, but the owner is aware of this and sent instructions on how to use it.The overall look of the property from the outside could also be improved - it looked like the decorators left in a rush and splashed paint everywhere. There's also only room for one car, which again would be problematic if you were to travel as a family of four and grandparents for example - as the property is listed to host 6. It would also be beneficial to add a picture of the front of the property to give people a clear idea of the type of property they'll be staying in.
