About this property

Resting in the quaint coastal village of Benllech, Anglesey, lies this delightful, three-bedroom holiday bungalow, Tinkers Patch. Enjoying terrific access to nearby amenities and attractions, as well as a plethora of nifty on-site facilities, this charming property makes an ideal base for families or sharing friends seeking a relaxing, self-catered stay in North Wales. As you step into your new lodgings, you are greeted by a tastefully-designed, open-plan living space, comprised of a well-equipped, contemporary kitchen featuring all the appliances you'll need to whip hearty, home-cooked meals; a dining table for six, and a sitting area complete with a plush corner sofa, where you and your loved ones can gather as you watch a film on the sleek, wall-mounted Smart TV by the warmth of a crackling woodburning stove. In the warmer months, take a glass of your favourite tipple out into the enclosed rear garden that also serves as a great spot to enjoy alfresco dinners. When the evening draws to a close, treat yourself to a long, indulgent bath or a rejuvenating shower before retiring to one of three well-appointed bedrooms, excellent spots to unwind after a long, fun-filled day. When you are ready, take a walk into Benllech, where you can book a table at Pebbles Bistro, enjoy a cup of tea at The Bay Cafe, or grab some fish and chips from Finney’s @ The Golden Fry to be savoured whilst sat on the lush sands of Traeth Benllech. For a fun day out, take the short car ride to Red Wharf Bay, where you can stop for some traditional pub fare at the Ship Inn, tuck into some Welsh cuisine at The Boathouse, or take a peaceful walk along the scenic stretch of Traeth Coch. All of this and more can be enjoyed during a stay at Tinkers Patch.

Benllech is a lovely, long, sandy beach that is quite popular with families. A slipway makes it simple for everyone to access the beach. A picnic area and a number of stores and cafés along the beach, and the village centre has more shops, pubs, hotels, and restaurants. The location aims to appeal to all tastes, with the village itself being perfect for family vacations and the rural setting providing serenity and convenient access to the coast, rural Anglesey, and of course the breathtaking Snowdonia mountains.

We enjoyed walks to the lovely beach (2 minutes down the hill) every day with our dog, and, despite the wet weather, used the house as a base to explore the rest of the island. It is on a quiet estate on the hillside, so the rear of the property has a nicely 'terraced' garden to enjoy in drier/warmer months. The advantage of having 2 bathrooms, one with a bath, one with a walk in shower, was perfect, especially since my elderly mum is unable to safely get into a bath now. The owners were available to advise with any issues at the drop of a hat, but, i'm pleased to say we didn't have any issues of concern, other than a recycling question!! The property is suitable for younger families, too, with a lovely, secure garden at the back, although, do be cautious with very young children of the steep steps up to the lawn. We would very much recommend this lovely property for its' location in relation to beach and local services, and if you enjoy a longer walk, the coastal paths both east and west are, quite literally, on your doorstep!!
