Rhianfa is nestled in the very heart of the Welsh village of Newborough, this traditional semi-detached cottage dating back to 1859, boasting a sleek finish. This quaint little property rests on the fringes of the forest and dunes of the south-west corner of Anglesey, with access to many beautiful beaches close by, the ideal retreat to bring family and friends. Take the time to chill out in the sitting room, there is much to entertain you with a Smart TV, DVD player and BOSE Bluetooth speakers available, to be enjoyed in front of the woodburning stove on a cold wintry evening.
When it comes to preparing a meal, the kitchen is well-appointed with everything required to conveniently assist your holiday break. Picnic sets and cool bags are also available for those adventurous days out to the beach or national parks. Stroll through to the dining room from the kitchen, where the large table provides enough room for four with space for a highchair if you have little ones. The two double bedrooms resting on the first floor are accompanied by a modern-style bathroom, with contemporary fixtures contrasting beautifully with the exposed stone wall, adding a touch of character and a nod to its heritage.
The exterior boasts a fully enclosed garden which extends out to the rear and occupies two lovely sitting areas for you to choose where to sit and relax, while the kids run around with the dogs. The views from the garden are simply marvellous, and on a clear day you can see down to the Menai Strait and even Snowdonia in the far distance. Perhaps enjoy your breakfast out here one sunshine-filled morning. There are books and guide maps available inside the cottage to help you decide where to visit during your stay. Nearby, Llanddwyn Bay and Newborough Warren promise alternative days out, with fabulous beach and glorious wildlife to be explored.

The small village of Newborough (Welsh spelling: Niwbwrch) lies on the edge of forests and dunes at the south west corner of Anglesey. Close by is Llanddwyn Bay, renowned as one of the finest beaches in Britain, ideal for swimming, canoeing, beachcombing and birdwatching or just relaxing! Behind the beach, the 1500 acre sand dune system of Newborough Warren is home to skylarks, meadow pipits and oyster catchers as well as toads and lizards and is protected as a National Nature Reserve. The Tan y Foel horse riding centre is within 3 miles of the village centre and Anglesey Sea Zoo, Foel Farm and the Anglesey Sea Salt are only a short drive away and make a fun day out for the whole family. Nearby Aberffraw is the home of the Anglesey racing track and will offer an exciting day.

Back from a fantastic week's holiday at Rhiafa in Newbourgh on Anglesey, apart from the storm on our first night the rest of the week was brilliant,on arrival the cottage was spotless cosy and warm,the house had everything we needed and more.The kitchen has everything you need wonderful range cooker which is a joy to cook with,comfy living room with the added bonus of a log burner.The extra downstairs toilet is a great extra, lovely comfortable beds and a great shower in the bathroom.The back large enclosed garden was wonderful for our dog Jess she loved playing in the garden.The village of Newbourgh has a well stocked local shop and a great fish and chip shop.It has a great pub The White Lion it's well worth a visit or three, lovely owner Alyson and her husband are dog mad people who offer a very warm welcome to everyone and their dogs, great atmosphere and very friendly local people.I must say it's the best dog friendly pub ever. We had the pleasure of meeting Nick the new owner of the property,a very nice person, during our stay we had a problem with the WiFi, after contacting Nick,he sorted out the problem straight away even coming to the house to sort it out.we had a great week covering most of the island, great beaches, food,beer and weather. Would recommend this property to family and friends and are looking forward to coming back next year.

We've just returned home from a 7 night stay and were sad to leave. The small village pub is a stone's throw away and we had some great nights in there with the landlady and her regulars. Newborough forest and beach are both stunning places for dog walks and we will definitely stay at Rhianfa cottage again. Loved it.

The house and extensive garden are perfect for walkers and their dogs. Friendly pub and shop very close by. Great walking on beaches and in Newburgh forest.
