Silva is a beautiful little semi-detached cottage in the village of Penmon near Beaumaris, Anglesey. Within easy reach of gorgeous sandy beaches and the Anglesey coastal path, this delightful house is a perfect retreat for a family of six. Two in-demand off-road parking spots greet you on arrival, along with a pretty front garden with outdoor seating to take advantage of. As soon as you walk into the cottage you will instantly feel like you are on holiday, make your way into the tastefully decorated sitting room with ample seating and flatscreen TV; throw some logs into the cast iron open-fire to add to the ambiance. Continue through to the stylishly fitted kitchen, boasting sleek black cabinets and wooden worktops, while being well-equipped for all your culinary needs. Enjoy a meal with your group in the dining area, a space showcasing lovely light fixtures and views out that brighten up the space. In the evening, head upstairs to bedrooms that are compact but perfectly formed, with comfortable beds to sink into after a day of exploring; a rear facing king-size bedroom overlooks the garden, and at the front is a double and a bunk bed. Additionally, on the first floor you can find a modern bathroom, featuring spacious bath; a shower room is located downstairs, for your convenience. Enjoy a spot of alfresco dining in the sunny back garden as the kids and your furry friends play on the lawn, use the outside shower to wash away the sandy remains of your visit to the beach. If you're looking for things to do nearby, travel to the historic Penmon Point and unwind on its beach, before exploring the Sea Bridge and the once-glorious ruins of Penmon Dovecot. Travel south to the town of Beaumaris to find your amenities, stop for a bite to eat at the 15th Century George & Dragon pub, visit the Victorian Pier and experience a pleasure trip to Puffin Island where you can spot the dolphins in the waters on the way; end the day with a guided tour around the spooky Beaumaris Gaol. The secure garden is a bonus for dog owners too. We enjoyed our stay and explored new and old haunts on the island. Two issues to note, the very hot water, [albeit labelled on each tap] is a hazard. The actual taps even become too hot to touch when the hot taps are run. Surely there must be a way to reduce the boiling temperature? The two outside bins were nearly full [70%] on our arrival, although there was a collection during our stay, they were not emptied. Instructions in the house state no need to put the bins out, perhaps this needs reviewing. Thank you

The cottage feels like home from home, the amenities and facilities were second to none. The kitchen has all the mod cons, everything you need to cook a home cooked meal if you wish, (I recommend to do a big shop before arriving as there is only a Spar nearby). Walks and views are unbelievable, our dog Winston never had so much fun! The town itself, Beaumaris, is charming with some lovely pubs and places to eat in. We recommend the (Bulkeley especially if you have a dog), right on the coast with spectacular views from the beer garden, the whole hotel is dog friendly, even the afternoon tea area. The Bulls head did great dinners and not too far of a drive from Silva (about 6 mins). We found a lovely Indian takeaway in town that delivered to Silva for £3.50 on Just Eat, highly recommend that, it was a lovely treat! I am already looking at availability for 2024 as we want to go back for sure! Thanks so much Emer

Everything you could need in the kitchen, cosy sitting room at night with log fire. Table in lounge great for Lego and games. Bunk bed room was fine for small grandsons could be a bit snug for older children but then again you only sleep there to recharge batteries for next dayâs adventures. Lots of lovely walks as we know the island well, and even the weather was kind! Thank you.
