Cosy Cottage is a romantic holiday home in one of the most exceptional locations on the majestic Isle of Anglesey, offering a couple an outstanding self-catering experience with both coast and countryside awaiting to be explored. This all-ground-floor accommodation lies within the rural village of Llandegfan and is within striking distance of Menai Bridge, making it easy to explore mainland Wales, home to the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, as well as the Isle’s plethora of quaint villages, hidden coves and sublime beaches. Inside Cosy Cottage, a rustic charm and simplistic elegance combine within the spacious living room, where the exposed stone wall featuring a woodburning stove complements the plush furnishings and the modern conveniences. Light up the woodburning stove to set a cosy ambiance before curling up on the sofa to relax with a good book or to flick through the channels of the TV, making the perfect way to unwind after an action-packed day. The contemporary elegance continues into the kitchen/diner, which is equipped with an integrated dishwasher, electric induction cooker,
wine cooler, fridge and separate freezer, instant coffee machine, everything needed to cater your own culinary delights that can be enjoyed at the dining table, accompanied with a bottle of fizz for toasting to a wonderful holiday. Alternatively, open up the patio doors to allow a seamless integration from the outside in, and find an enclosed garden, where table and chairs offer an opportunity for a spot of alfresco dining during a balmy summer’s evening. Once the sun has set, savour a moment of relaxation by stepping into the walk-in shower, located within the sleek bathroom, which is filled with several touches of a nautical theme to serve as a quiet reminder of your surroundings. Afterwards, sleep will come easy in the bedroom, where quality white linens drape the plush king-size bed and the chest of draws offers ample storage space for your things. If you can tear yourself away from Cosy Cottage, meander into the centre of the village where you will find a local pub and a village shop, or head slightly further towards the coastline to find The Gazelle Hotel, where you can enjoy an evening meal whilst overlooking the Menai Strait. Alternatively, make your way into the town centre of Menai Bridge, where you will be spoilt for choice by the selection of shops, supermarkets, restaurants and pubs. Whilst here, be sure to brush up on the local history by visiting the Menai Bridge Heritage Museum before taking a boat trip down the Strait to visit Church Island, home to the well-known Saint Tysilio. Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens is nearby and makes a wonderful afternoon of exploring, as is the Pili Palas Nature World, home to meerkat, bug and butterfly enclosures. The town of Beaumaris is a short drive away, where you can look forward to visiting the 13th century castle, the Victorian prison or take a boat trip out to Puffin Island for a truly unique experience. From Cosy Cottage, beaches are in abundance, including Newborough Beach, where views of the Eryri (Snowdonia) mountain range can be enjoyed as you laze on the sands or take a stroll to Ynys Llanddwyn or through the woodlands. The Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park is also within reach of the cottage, where you will find a plethora of walking opportunities, as well as mountain biking and other outdoor pursuits. The town is home to two bridges that provide access to mainland wales, making a great place for touring the isle and beyond. The town has a wealth of history to be discovered at the Menai Bridge Heritage Museum, as well as a range of shops, pubs and restaurants to enjoy. Attractions within the area include Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens, the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park and the larger towns of Beaumaris and Caernarfon.
