Lower Barn is a charming cottage with beautiful views and ample space, offering a secluded spot ideal for relaxation. It is dog-friendly and provides a games room and books for entertainment. The surrounding area offers plenty to do, and the property's character is enhanced by its beams and stone walls.
The property generally appears to be clean, but there are mentions of dirty windows and mouse droppings in the kitchen, suggesting room for improvement in cleanliness.
The cottage is in a lovely secluded spot with gorgeous views, though the steep and overgrown track may be challenging for small cars. Some guests found the location tranquil, while others were disturbed by noise from a nearby working farm and barking dogs.
The property is spacious with ample seating, though there is a mention of a lack of coffee tables and a need for a blind in the main bedroom to block out early morning light.
The property offers a games room and is dog-friendly, but there are several maintenance issues noted, such as low water pressure, a lack of garden furniture, and safety concerns with handrails. Pest control issues were also reported.
There are no mentions of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

On arrival to the property itself, it was not said in the holiday advert about the track being as uphill and difficult to go upto. We arrived when it was dark around 5-6pm as came from cornwall, it was pretty difficult for our car to get up the driveway towards it as it is uphill and extremely stoney and had many potholes. Not for a small or low down car. With prior notice would of been better to know this. On arrival once got parked and let ourselves into property the heating was all turned off and was freezing cold which when sorted out took awhile for that to kick in. The property wasnt very clean, flys in draws as opened up, cobwebs everywhere and crumbs on the kitchen counters and wasnt clean for a holiday let. Flys were also on most of the counters and on chairs. Cups and glasses dirty, but had a some Welsh cakes and coffee complimentry which was nice on a positive note! I understand it is a property on a farm and flys are going to happen regardless, but the cleanning of it (being a cleaner myself as a profession) it was really poor. It is in the middle of no where and isn't close to local amenities as such, but the spot the holiday let is in a beautiful landscape and beautiful views and has comfy beds. Had to leave early due to a family emergency and have contacted owner and said about all this before leaving this review and is fully aware I am leaving this review.

We did enjoy our stay as it is in a lovely secluded spot.It was very spacious with ample seating. However it would have been very useful to have coffee tables as there were nowhere to place our cups or glasses.
