Started the holiday cleaning the bathroom sink and outdoor furniture. The whole place was run down, the frontage sloped as if the subfloor is compromised. The interior floors were very uneven for the same reason potentially. The decking was unstable and dirty. The sauna did not work as the door did not close properly and steam escaped through the walls. The bench constuction was unstable. The roll top bath could only be filled to a 1/3 full before the hot water ran out.The indoor furniture was old and uncomfortable. The outdoor furniture was rusty and dirty. The freezer did not work. The garden area was overgrown and the plunge pool was covered in pond plants which rendered it unusable. This was all so disappointing, it could be beautiful. So sad to see it in such a state of disrepair. We left after one night and have asked for a refund.

This is such a beautiful property and is perfectly placed in nature for complete relaxation. It's completely private and the sound of the running water is very soothing. Dilys and Mike were wonderful hosts, lots of communication, making sure we had everything we needed. The condition of the property wasn't as shown in the photos so we were a little disappointed. It is looking tired and the outside areas and furniture weren't cleaned. It would be wonderful to see if refreshed and back to it's former glory (to quote another guest).

Had a fantastic few days at The Berm . We self catered for ourselves as was our plan . We just enjoyed the total peace and quiet around us . It’s was great to see a pair of kingfishers in the garden in the early mornings. Thank you to Dilys and Mike for letting us stay .
