Upstairs (ie. bedroom) was overall clean and comfortable but we did call Lee out to remove a quantity of cobweb clinging along the stone wall behind the bed. Lee responded quickly and was very apologetic. As our holiday progressed more issues became apparent. There was a doggy smell in the lounge. We put our clean doggy throws over the settee to protect ourselves! The kitchen chairs were both rickety and the rug was well used and tatty with a big dark stain on it. The kitchen surface and equipment seemed clean. The windows and door frames were dirty. The whole place was in need of a spring clean. The welcome cakes and flowers were indeed much appreciated. We reported our issues with the Nook on the feedback form in the cottage. Lee was very apologetic and has offered us a 25% discount on our next booking. Not surprisingly we won't be rebooking and my suggestion that a 25% refund on the holiday we have just hadseemed to fall on deaf ears! Disappointing 😞
