A characterful and cosy rural retreat in a tranquil location, offering a great base from which to enjoy the outdoors and explore this unspoilt area of mid Wales.
Set within the grounds of a 80 acre farm, this beautiful home is perfectly placed for all types of outdoor pursuits including mountain biking, walking and cycling. If the sheep are in the farm building or are in pens, guests are invited to come and watch and, depending on the task, perhaps help. Take to two wheels and head to the Coed Trallwm Mountain Bike Centre (14.5 miles) where different trails cater for all abilities. Explore the fascinating Roman gold mines at Dolaucothi (16.5 miles), which are set amid wooded hillsides overlooking the beautiful Cothi Valley. Entering this charming cottage, you ll arrive in a hallway with space for hanging up coats and boots and a handy downstairs WC. In the spacious living room, which overlooks the pretty courtyard, sink down onto the comfortable sofas and enjoy a glass of something cold while you watch a film together. The well equipped kitchenette has an electric cooker and hob, fridge freezer, microwave, washer/dryer, ensuring you ll have everything you need throughout your stay. When it s time to rest, head upstairs where you ll discover an inviting king size bedroom with a walk in wardrobe and an en suite shower room and WC. Also located upstairs is additional seating on the upstairs light filled landing with 2 seats and glass table. Stepping outside, relax on the lawn before firing up the BBQ and taking a seat to really soak up your surroundings. Soothe tired and aching muscles with a soak in the shared hot tub. There is also ample off road parking available. Need to know: 1 double bedroom. 1 en suite shower room, 1 separate WC downstairs. Electric cooker and hob, fridge freezer, microwave, washer/dryer. TV with Freesat in lounge. Wi Fi included. Lawned garden, BBQ and garden furniture. Lock up storage and washing facilities for mountain bikes. Ample off road parking. 2 dogs welcome (more than 2 to be discussed with owner) due to livestock in surrounding fields, dogs need to be kept under control at all times. Electric Cars If you wish to charge electric car please discuss with owner. Telescope available. Indoor hot tub shared with 4 other cottages on site. Available between 10am 5pm and time slot must be booked. No extra charge for hot tub use but please note it may be closed at any time for maintenance/services/government restrictions. On discussion with the owners, there are fields close to the house where ball games could be played. Part of a small complex which can be booked together to accommodate a total of 29 people. Shops and pubs 5.5 miles away at Llandovery or 2 country pubs in Rhandirmwyn (4 miles).
