Hike to the ruins of Carreg Cennen Castle, 6 miles, for incredible views, head to the fascinating Bronze Age burial cairns of Tair Carn Uchaf, 8 miles, or see the UK’s only known Roman gold mine at Dolaucothi, 17 miles. The Gelli Aur (Golden Grove) estate, is only 1.5 miles, and boasts a deer park, arboretum, gardens and tea rooms, while the National Trust’s Newton House and the ruins of Dinefwr Castle are 5 miles. The chic market town of Llandeilo, just 4 miles, is home to a superb range of independent shops and places to eat and drink.

The handsome stone barn boasts an interior which combines lovely original features and modern conveniences. The comfortable lounge includes plush seating gathered around a wood burner and a Smart TV, making this the perfect spot in which to snuggle up after a day outdoors. In warm weather you can throw open the patio doors and let a lovely breeze flow through as you enjoy the spectacular views. The farmhouse-style kitchen/diner has both a microwave and a dishwasher for convenience when cooking, with a sturdy dining table at which everyone can gather for hearty feasts. If you need laundry facilities during your stay, the site offers a spacious shared utility. Back on the ground floor of your accommodation, there’s also a super-king-size bedroom with a dressing table and spacious en-suite shower, while stairs lead you up to the charming twin bedroom, which also boasts a large en-suite.

Grill delicious suppers on the BBQ to enjoy at the picnic table on your patio in warm weather. This private space leads directly onto shared lawned areas and a fire-pit where guests from all three cottages can gather to toast marshmallows and chat under the stars. There’s also a wonderful children’s play set, and a dedicated field for exercising dogs. Making arrivals and departures easy, you’ll have private parking for two cars.
