Lying peacefully in a rural location and just a short drive away from the dramatic Ceredigion coastline, this row of traditional Welsh holiday barns (refs OR3, OR4 and OR5) have been sympathetically restored to a high standard, making it a perfect touring base for couples looking for an adventure. Lluest Cottages have been tastefully decorated throughout and equipped with all the appropriate amenities for an unforgettable experience. Each cottage has its own enclosed lawn garden with a patio area where guests can sit, relax and unwind whilst watching the red kites soar over the magnificent scenery or enjoy the wildlife beyond the garden in the woodlands, fields and pond areas that are part of the property. The area itself has lots to offer, including fantastic walks along the Ceredigion coastline, famous for its horseshoe coves, Iron Age settlements and sandy beaches, where bottlenose dolphins and seals can be spotted on a clear day! The picturesque harbour towns of Newquay and Aberaeron offer unblemished beaches, restaurants, boutique shopping and art galleries that are waiting to be explored. Away from the coast, Ceredigion’s countryside is just as promising, with an array of charming market towns and historic castles dotted around the county. For an adventurous day out, take a short drive to the rugged Cambrian Mountains and explore the Cors Caron Nature Reserve, which flourishes with wildlife and the historic ruins of Strata Florida Abbey, which is one of Wales’ most important historical sites. Beach 2½ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

I would highly recommended. This is a lovely comfortable cosy cottage. Very dog friendly. Lovely welcome pack. A field to run the dogs in. Nice location to watch the red kites flying over. I will return.

If you're a dog owner and you like rustic charm then The Cowshed is the place for you. It's a comfortable, warm and spotessly clean barn conversion. The owners have thought of everything to make our stay comfortable, even leaving lots of 'goodies' for us, including for our dog. The approach and surroundings could be tidier, though it is in a lovely quiet spot with easy access to the main road. If you're looking for 5* then this isn't the place for you, but for a good base to work from, especially if you have dogs then this is ideal.

The Cow Shed is in a lovely quiet spot, surrounded by fields and sheep, it’s perfectly relaxing! The flip side is needing to drive to pick up bits from the store (or driving a little while if you need gluten free like me), but that didn’t impact the holiday, I just made sure I planned it. We had a lovely welcome and was shown around. Freshly baked bread, welshcakes and home made jam was on the side with milk and butter in the fridge. The cottage is comfortable and cosy, and I loved my stay! The garden is private with the configuration of the house meaning there’s no overlooking windows. There is a nice little walk around the farm which is perfect if you just want to nip for some fresh air. There is also a huge fenced paddock to exercise the dogs off lead. Everything you’d need has been catered for and I will definitely be wanting to stay again! I’ve already recommended this place to family and friends. The only reason it didn’t get 5stars was little things like no ice cube tray, blunt kitchen knife, not many utensils, few pans which would limit the kind of meal you could cook - as you can tell I’m being really nit-picky!! Apart from that, it was great and people who want a relaxing holiday with plenty to do for day outings in nature then this is the place!
