Ysgubor Blaenparc Barn is situated on the owner’s working farm, (small dogs welcome) with fabulous views over the Cambrian Mountains, perfect for exploring the Cardigan coastline. There are over 60 miles of glorious coastline in Cardigan Bay, with lots of beaches and coves. The pretty coastal resort and fishing village of New Quay and the colourful Georgian harbour town of Aberaeron can be easily reached within a 20-minute drive as well as the coves of Cwmtydu and Llangrannog. You’re very likely to see dolphins in the bay and there are boat trips available to watch them and the other wildlife. The Victorian seaside and university town of Aberystwyth is also within easy reach, and here you’ll find a traditional pier, promenade and the old electric cliff railway to the summit of Constitution Hill, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the bay.
If outdoor activities are your thing, there are plenty of options for walkers and cyclists of all abilities at the National trust estate Llanerchaeron as well as horse riding, canoeing and more. You can enjoy a day out at the National Trust Dolaucothi Gold Mines at Pumpsaint, the Silver Mountain Experience (silver-lead mines) at Ponterwyd or the red kite feeding centre at Bwlch Nant Yr Arian. Why not take a trip on a traditional steam train from Abersytwyth to the falls at Devil’s Bridge?

Our Family loved our stay here. We stayed in February and the Barn was warm, cosy & had plentiful hot water for our busy outdoors family! The Barn has everything you need & some thoughtful touches (including books & games to share.) It is exceptionally clean throughout. The beds are comfy & clean meaning the whole family slept well! The layout worked perfectly for our family of 4 with 2 bathrooms & individual. space. The location is perfect for exploring the local areas, coastline & the beauty that Wales has to offer. The welcome gifts were very generous including bacon, eggs, bread and cake. The hosts are contactable should you need anything, however leave you alone to enjoy your holiday after an initial greeting. I could not highly recommend The Barn enough - the pictures do not do it's beauty & comfort justice! We all came away fully rested. Thank you.

Great cottage in great surroundings with the coast in easy reach The cottage is very warm and welcoming with everything you need and spotlessly clean.There are board games to play and some books to read in the lounge with a good size TV yes the internet is a bit slow but more than adequateThe bedrooms are very comfortable and warm for a good nights sleepBoth bathrooms are well equipped with plenty of hot water with soaps and shower gels includedThe welcome pack on arrival was amazing with loads of goodies to indulge in even some treats left for the dogWe had a slight problem during our stay and Sandra and Geraint were outstanding in the level of help they offered they couldn't have done any more absolutely perfect hosts and we are forever in there debt

As soon as we walked in we were "wowed". The property is exactly as per the photos but somehow seemed nicer when we got there. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a sauna, a very adequate kitchen and a lounge area. The outside area is probably the only less than fantastic space but it is still great. A gated gravel area big enough to turn the car around in with a separate decked seating area. Our dogs didn't manage to escape but if you have a jumper you might need to watch more carefully as the lowest fence/gate height is around 4.5 feet. The weather was a challenge when we went so the slow internet was noticeable. The TV works via apps so needs the internet. But there are games, books and a jigsaw puzzle so there is stuff to keep you entertained. Basically, if the property is available and you are available then book it, you won't regret it!
