Cleanliness of barn wasn't brilliant (cob webs, mould in shower, had to shake all bedding out before going to bed first night as covered in hair!). Was advertised as dog friendly and photos showed a good sized securely enclosed garden where we were hoping our furry friend could bimble about; when we arrived the garden has numerous signs up to say that dogs even in the garden have to be kept on a lead due to sheep in surrounding fields and the barn info folder had a long list of 'don'ts' for dogs in the property. We then felt uncomfortable that we'd brought our family pet with us. Barn has under floor heating - again info folder told us to not touch the thermostat for the heating and that the barn gets very warm... the week we were there the weather took a turn for the very wet and the barn was cold. Thinness ever duvet on the bed so extra cold and damp in the bedroom at night. Log burner in lounge out of order. Never saw the hosts so no opportunity to chat about out concerns. Felt more of a money making venture rather than a holiday 'home'. Such a shame. Just didn't match what was advertised and booked for when we got there.
