Outside, guests can enjoy a spacious garden area, perfect for morning coffee, al fresco dining, or letting little ones play. Situated directly opposite a children’s play park and tennis courts, there’s plenty to keep everyone entertained just steps from the front door.
Llandre itself is a quiet, picturesque village with a rich history and friendly atmosphere. Just a five-minute drive away is the seaside town of Borth, known for its long sandy beach, traditional charm, and wildlife-rich Ynyslas dunes. A short drive inland takes you to the dramatic landscapes of Devil’s Bridge, home to three stacked bridges and stunning waterfalls, a must-see natural wonder. Only six miles away lies the vibrant university town of Aberystwyth. Here, visitors can enjoy a wide range of attractions including the cliff railway, seafront promenade, castle ruins, and the National Library of Wales.
Aberystwyth also offers excellent dining, shopping, and cultural experiences. Other nearby highlights include the Cambrian Mountains for scenic walks and cycling, Bwlch Nant yr Arian forest visitor centre with its daily red kite feeding, and the Vale of Rheidol heritage railway.

The cottage was very clean and comfortable and perfectly situated for exploring the local area. The hosts provide a lovely welcome pack and the kitchen had all the equipment we needed. We had our dog with us and found some enjoyable walks behind the church with amazing views. The coastal footpath is easily accessible from Clarach or Borth for longer walks. The location is a 5 minute drive to lovely Borth beaches and 15 minutes to get into Aberystwyth. A local shop in Bow Street was very helpful for a quick shop. The host Sue was very friendly and helpful, we will be very happy to go back to Brynhafod.

We really enjoyed our stay at Brynhafod. It was spotlessly clean and cosy. The beds are comfortable, there are games and books for those rainy afternoons which is a nice touch. We love the area, the local beach at Borth is great for the kids and the dogs ( the dog beach is further away from the amenities of Borth but is also quieter than the rest of the beach)The location is good, there is lots to do in the area. (Our family favourites are the local beaches, Dyfi Osprey Project, the butterfly house and Silver Mountain.)Brynhafod had everything we needed to enjoy our stay and we can’t wait to come back. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
