Ty Cellin is a delightful detached house resting in Swyddffynnon, Ceredigion, thoughtfully renovated from a 19th‑century stone cottage and surrounded by panoramic countryside views. Its private driveway and peaceful rural setting create a welcoming first impression, offering guests a charming base for exploring this scenic corner of Wales. The ground‑floor super‑king‑size bedroom provides convenience and flexibility, while the twin room upstairs offers a bright and airy retreat. A family bathroom and additional cloakroom ensure practicality for groups and families, and the thoughtful layout makes the property feel spacious and relaxed. Outside, the enclosed garden features a patio and lawn where you can enjoy the fresh air, admire the surrounding fields and views of the nearby lake, or simply watch the shifting light across the landscape. When you’re ready to explore, the region offers a variety of memorable days out. The market town of Tregaron is close by, home to traditional shops and the expansive Cors Caron wetlands, ideal for gentle walks and wildlife spotting.
Head to Aberystwyth for a lively seaside atmosphere, where the promenade, cliff railway, and cultural attractions offer plenty to fill a day. Aberaeron is a popular location with its pretty pastel coloured Georgian houses and eateries all dotted around the harbour. Meanwhile, boat trips out to meet the resident bottle nosed dolphins can be booked out of nearby New Quay. With its blend of rural charm, thoughtful interiors, and access to varied attractions, Ty Cellin offers a lovely base for discovering the beauty of Ceredigion.
Pontrhydfendigaid is a small village in Mid Wales between Devil’s Bridge and Tregaron. The village lies on the edge of the Cambrian Mountains in beautiful countryside. It sits on the River Teifi and is home to a local shop and two nearby pubs, The Teifi Inn and The Hafod Hotel. Devil's Bridge has been a tourist attraction for centuries and was celebrated by author George Borrow who wrote Wild Wales in 1854. This famous bridge spans the Mynach, a tributary of the River Rheidol and is unique as it is actually three bridges in one, the original built around 1100, the second above this in 1753 and the third in 1903. The bridge is at a point where the River Mynach drops 90 metres (300 ft) in 5 steps down a steep and narrow ravine before it meets the River Rheidol. The set of stone steps leading down to the lowest bridge at the waterfall are known as Jacob's Ladder. The attraction offers viewing points and after the steep walk there is a hotel and cafe for refreshments. This whole area boasts stunning scenery and wildlife and is renowned for walking, cycling, fishing and bird watching as well as trips to the beautiful Cardigan Bay coastline with its wild cliffs and sandy beaches.
