Guests appreciate the ample space for large groups, comfortable beds, and well-stocked kitchen. While there are minor comments on fridge size and mattress comfort, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with many looking forward to returning.

Cleanliness

Guests consistently note the property's cleanliness, describing it as very clean and well-maintained, contributing to a welcoming and comfortable stay.

Location

The property's location is highly praised for its proximity to the beach, local shops, and eateries, as well as being a convenient base for exploring nearby towns and attractions. Slight road noise is mentioned but not considered a significant deterrent.

Comfort

The comfort of the property is well-regarded, with guests finding the beds comfortable and appreciating the space available. Some guests noted the mattresses could be improved, but this was a minor issue compared to the overall comfort provided.

Facilities

Facilities are generally commended, especially the well-equipped kitchen and ample parking. However, guests suggest that a larger or additional fridge would be beneficial for large groups, and there are comments on the lengthy dishwasher cycle.

Thoughtfulness

The owners' thoughtfulness is evident through the provision of useful items such as a folder for planning, treats for the dog, and a well-stocked kitchen. While gifts are warmly received, it is noted that such personal touches are at the owners' discretion and may vary.

About this property

Located in the coastal town of Penmaenmawr in Conwy is Gwyder, a fabulous, four-storey home. Enjoying stunning sea views and a prime position near the beach and a hub of attractions, Gwyder is also within reach of the Snowdonia National Park, offering the best of the coast and the countryside; thirteen guests are invited for a group celebration, along with two furry companions. Park up roadside and be welcomed by the charming exterior of Gwyder. Head indoors to firstly locate the sitting room, contemporarily styled and offering a relaxing atmosphere, where you can unwind after a day of travelling. Next door you'll find the formal dining room, with enough space to house your entire party, enjoying mealtimes together with the Welsh coastline in your backdrop. The kitchen is well-equipped and sleekly-presented to ease your self-catered stay, where you can prepare meals to also be enjoyed alfresco, with a private and enclosed courtyard resting to the rear of the home. For a quiet nook, head downstairs to the lower ground floor, where you'll find the second sitting room, complete with plush seating, a TV, and an electric log-effect fire, offering a warming glow as you catch up on your latest programme. On this floor you'll also find a double bedroom and a shower room, acting as an annexe, ideal for teenagers or older members of your group. Locate three well-presented bedrooms by climbing up to the first floor, including two doubles and a twin bedroom, all serviced by a bathroom, whilst a further double and triple bunk room sit on the top floor, enjoying far-reaching sea glimpses; a shower room is available on the second floor for convenience. As the sun rises, head into Penmaenmawr to stock up on the essentials or to dine out, with The Village Bistro and Bron Eryri within walking distance, before heading for the beach, followed by a tour of the local museum. Head for Conwy for another day at the coast, where you can also tour Conwy Castle, travel back in time by discovering Plas Mawr townhouse, or follow the Llwybr Moryd CONWY Estuary Trail towards Llandudno Junction. Be sure to fill your itinerary with the attractions of Llandudno, where you can attend an event at Venue Cymru, travel up to the Great Orme Summit Complex, or enjoy a bag of fish and chips along the pier, whilst the national park is brimming with nature-filled landscapes, where you can hike towards the Pensychnant Conservation Centre, discover Aber Falls, and visit the Adventure Parc Snowdonia for surf lessons and further outdoor activities. Enjoy the best of Conwy at Gwyder.

Penmaenmawr is an old quarrying town that has been transformed into a lovely community that stretches along this stunning coastline while retaining much of its Victorian architecture. It has many local pubs, restaurants, and shops, a fantastic golf course, and golden, sandy beaches. It is located on the North Wales coast between Llanfairfechan and Conwy. Many areas of Penmaenmawr and its sister village Dwygyfylchi, which are situated on the Tal-Y-Fan Mountain, provide breath-taking views of Llandudno, Puffin Island, Anglesey, and the Irish Sea across Conwy harbour. If you're lucky, you might even get a glimpse of dolphins and seals frolicking in the harbour. The seaside walk connects to Llanfairfechan to the west and Conwy Marina to the east through a freshly created bicycle path.
