Guests consistently praise Puffin Lookout for its spotless condition, comfortable furnishings, and the peaceful, well-maintained park setting. The caravan is well-equipped with thoughtful touches, including welcome gifts, and is ideally situated for exploring North Wales. The owners are commended for their responsiveness and attention to detail.
Reviewers frequently mention the exceptional cleanliness of the caravan, often describing it as spotless and the cleanest they've stayed in, indicating a very high standard of hygiene.
The location is highly praised for its central position for touring North Wales, with beautiful surroundings and views. The peaceful and well-tended park setting is also appreciated, although one review mentioned parking difficulties.
The caravan's comfort is well-regarded, with comfortable beds and furnishings mentioned. However, a few guests noted preferences regarding the firmness of sofas and beds, which slightly affects the score.
Facilities are generally praised for being modern and well-maintained, with all necessary amenities provided. One review mentioned an issue with a toaster and another with a noisy extraction fan, but these are minor in the context of overall positive feedback.
The owners' thoughtfulness is evident in the provision of welcome gifts and essentials, which are warmly received, though it is politely noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and not guaranteed.
Situated on Craiglwyd Caravan Park, in Penmaenmawr, a coastal town in Conwy, is this single-storey lodge, Puffin Lookout. Boasting direct views out towards Puffin Island, whilst well-positioned near local amenities and the beach, and set across an open-plan layout, the lodge welcomes four guests and one well-behaved pet, perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. Benefit from off-road parking, a private outdoor area with a barbecue in tow, a generously-sized social hub, where you can dine, relax in front of the TV, and even switch on the electric fire on colder nights, and ample storage across both bedrooms. Once you're well rested and refreshed, venture out to Penmaenmawr, home to an array of amenities, perfect for visiting whilst heading towards the coast; enjoy lunch at The Village Bistro, or a takeaway from Dino's, Johnny Doughs Pizza, whilst the essentials can be purchased at a nearby SPAR or Co-op. Just a stone's throw away, you'll also arrive at Penmaenmawr Museum, displaying the town's heritage, Aber Falls, a popular hike towards a breath-taking waterfall, and Druids Circle, set within a nature-filled landscape. Further into the county, enjoy peaceful afternoons at Conwy Water Gardens, tour its resident castle, originating back to 1283, and on sunny days, relish upon the sandy shores of Conwy Morfa Beach, renowned for fishing. Those who love the outdoors will appreciate the grounds of Bodnant Garden, a Grade I listed beauty spot, displaying botanical blooms and plants, treks across Carnedd y Saeson, or perhaps a day of climbing at Glyder Fawr, with its highest peak standing at 1,000 meters. Take in the beautiful scenes of Conwy by staying at Puffin Lookout.
Penmaenmawr is a delightful community stretching along the North Wales coast between Llanfairfechan and Conwy, with many local pubs, restaurants, and shops, a superb golf course, and golden, sandy beaches. It is an old quarrying town now adapted into a delightful community stretching along this stunning coastline yet retaining much of its Victorian architecture. Many portions of Penmaenmawr and its sister village Dwygyfylchi, which are situated on the edge of the Tal-Y-Fan Mountain, provide spectacular views across Conwy Bay to Llandudno, Puffin Island, Anglesey, and the Irish Sea, and if you're lucky, dolphins and seals can be seen frolicking in the bay. A newly opened cycle route connects Conwy Marina to the east with Llanfairfechan to the west along the coastal walk.
