Filled with every little luxury that makes a holiday cottage so special, this North Wales cottage offers a fabulous base for outdoor adventures among AONB beauty. The property is located just 2 miles outside of Llangollen, an enlivened town that’s part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site at the base of the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley AONB. Its location ensures you’ll never fall short of splendid scenery and extraordinary walks to explore each day. Awaiting you as each day comes to an end, this stunning converted dairy and grain store cottage is extremely well-equipped for a romantic trip for two. It’s also dog-friendly for those who prefer the company of their four-pawed pal.
Thoughtful touches including underfloor heating, the king-size bed with a plush mattress and the hot tub in the garden out front add to the overall appeal of this box-ticking place. Step inside and stop off in the boot room to leave outdoor gear behind. Once comfortable, find a kitchen and lounge/diner ready to accommodate your enjoyable night in. Sofas are positioned to face an electric effect fire and a TV in the lounge, a space made for settling down after a delicious dinner. There’s also another TV upstairs in the bedroom for those who prefer to watch a film tucked up in bed.
With both the River Dee and the canal running through it, Llangollen is a hive of activity and one of the prettiest towns in North Wales. You can embark on so many adventures from here, including a walk to the awe-inspiring Pontcysyllte Aqueduct (3 miles), a hike up to the ruins of Castell Dinas Bran (2.5 miles) and a tour of the Plas Newydd Historic House & Gardens (1.5 miles). In the town centre, you’ll always find a pub or a restaurant to dip into for refreshments before making your way back home.
