About this property

Perched in a fantastic location overlooking the treetops, countryside and canal on the outskirts of Llangollen, Denbighshire is Westoe Hideaway. This well-thought out, studio-style apartment benefits from a tranquil location away from the bustle of the popular town yet is close to local amenities and a charming interior welcoming couples and their beloved canine companion for a fun-filled stay in North Wales. Descend the stone steps, while admiring the breath-taking view and head inside to find an inviting layout with kitchenette equipped with kitchen, toaster and microwave, a sofa looking out over the impressive views and a sumptuous double bed where you can catch your rest. In the morning, freshen up in the sleek shower room before stepping outside to savour your morning coffee in the brisk air with a truly memorable view. Venture into the heart of Llangollen to find local stores where you can stock up on essentials and homely pubs including The Three Eagles and The Corn Mill which are both idyllic places for date night! The town also houses a wonderful museum detailing the area's history and the famous Llangollen steam train; don’t miss the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, a world heritage site spanning eleven miles and two countries. Immerse yourself in history at Plas Newydd House or the 13th-century ruins of Castell Dinas Bran or venture further afield to find Chirk Castle, the National Trust site of Erddig in Wrexham or lose yourself in the Roman history ingrained in the historic city of Chester. Experience the endless wonders of North Wales at Westoe Hideaway.

Llangollen is a picturesque tourist town that draws visitors from all over the world for its annual Musical Eisteddfod and its idyllic setting in the Vale of Llangollen, a valley surrounded by dramatic mountains and the River Dee, which is dotted with boulders. Take a ride on a steam train or a canal boat to see the green valley, or hike to the top of Castell Dinas Brân for a bird's-eye view of the town below. The town of Llangollen is home to a wide variety of eateries and retail establishments. Whitewater rafting on the River Dee, followed by a thrilling Mountain Bike ride in Llandegla, or a soothing afternoon at a local spa—no there's shortage of exciting things to do in this area! Chirk Castle and Erddig, both owned by the National Trust, are conveniently close by car, and six of the "Seven Wonders of Wales" can be seen along a single day's driving route. The famous Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, a World Heritage Site, is only 5 miles away, and Snowdonia is within an hour's drive. The Offa's Dyke Path, which offers pleasant walking along the crest of the Clwyd hills, also passes through the area.
