A good property for a large family celebration

We had the perfect family stay here, everything we needed for a family of 12 ranging from 4 years to 77 years. Although the location isn't the easiest to get to the views when you do are absolutely worth it. The hosts were so helpful from check in to any questions we had and even left us a little welcome pack. Would 100% recommend.

We were a family group of 13 plus one dog, ages ranging from 19 - 80. The house accommodated us well, with space for us to spread out. It was very well equipped and we enjoyed the hot tub and outside space - the views are incredible. The lower ground has access to outside and is fairly self-contained with a bedroom, kitchenette area (hidden behind cupboard doors), a lounge and wet room (this could do with a bit of tlc and it’s trial and error to suss out the shower to stop the whole room flooding!). The upper ground floor has two bedrooms (one with en-suite), a separate toilet, the main lounge, utility room, children’s playroom plus two other reception rooms. The first floor is a large kitchen and a dining room with plenty of space to seat 14 around the large table. Finally on the second floor there are four bedrooms, one with en-suite and two with a jack and jill bathroom. For our particular family group we felt that we would have benefited from another bathroom but that was mainly because we were all adult couples bar one. On the whole the property was clean and tidy albeit lots of cobwebs in places and a few dead flies. It seemed that the cleaners had been in straight after the last people left (a few weeks earlier?) but hadn’t been back just to give it a quick once over before we arrived. With large gaps between bookings this is something the owners may wish to consider. Also we hadn’t been left any tea towels, bin liners or gas for the BBQ and had to contact the owner who, to his credit, made a 2 1/2 round trip on the Saturday afternoon to sort out supplies. Unfortunately though, it being a Saturday afternoon, we couldn’t source any BBQ gas in Ruthin so had to make do with a disposable one for our planned BBQ that afternoon. Despite those few niggles we had a great time and don’t think that anyone would be disappointed with this property as it is ideal for large groups of all ages. The location is great (you soon get used to the lane leading to the house) being nearby to Ruthin. Other places we visited were Snowdonia (11 of us managed to climb Snowdon), Ffestiniogg Railway, Anglesey and Puffin Island, white water rafting at Canolfan Tryweryn and the Mach Loop so a good time was had by us all.
