Switch off and reconnect with nature at this authentic Mongolian yurt, set on a peaceful Flintshire hillside just 4.5 miles from the market town of Mold. Sleeping four people in an open-plan space, and with no mains electricity or WiFi, it is the ideal back-to-nature hideaway for couples or small families who want to swap their screens for evenings around the firepit together. Wake to the sound of buzzards and geese and then lace up your boots and set off to climb Moel Famau (7 miles), the highest point in the Clwydian Range. Alternatively, follow the woodland trails through Nercwys Forest (3 miles), or discover the Roman walls and amphitheatre in the historic city of Chester (15 miles). Further afield, head into Eryri / Snowdonia National Park (25 miles) to hike the mountain trails, ride the historic steam railways, and seek out hidden lakes and waterfalls.
Follow the gravel path up through fruit trees, vegetable beds, and beehives to your beautiful glamping yurt, a spacious circular retreat set on a wooden platform. Inside, the open-plan living and sleeping space is dressed in cosy, boho-chic furnishings, and a wood-burning stove crackles away – keeping things warm and toasty whatever the season. There is a folding dining table and chairs ready to set up for a meal inside if the weather turns, alongside a double bed and a double sofa bed – all within the yurt's snug circular embrace. Just outside, you will find a private heated shower cabin with a walk-in rainfall shower and a flushing WC. The cabin’s bohemian-tiled interior gives a stylish nod to your glamping yurt's eclectic decor.
Step out onto the raised deck and you will find an outdoor kitchen and dining area with a charcoal BBQ, gas cooker, and picnic table. Treat yourself to a dip in the private wood-fired hot tub, which is perfectly positioned to soak up the sweeping mountain views, or take a seat at the raised firepit and wait for the stars to come out. In season, you are welcome to pick your own fruit from the orchard and growing beds. Private parking is available 150 yards from the yurt.

- No mains electricity - guests should bring a torch. Phone charging is available at the main house or via a solar charger (weather dependent)
- No Wi-Fi and no TV - the property is an intentional digital detox
