There is evidence from the Iron Age hillfort at Castell Odo, on Mynydd Ystum, which shows that some phases of the village's construction began unusually early, in the late Bronze Age, between 2850 and 2650 years before present. Aberdaron hosts numerous sailing regattas featuring clinker-built boats unique to the area, there is a popular regatta every August where the races are open to everyone. The weather was a little less agreeable but the house made up for anything lacking outside. Clean, tidy and spacious with ample individual areas for all. Views were great over the bay and village with comfy seating in all areas. A brief journey by car to railway station and with enjoyable ride over the whole coast.
