Spend your down time in the sitting room, complete with plush seating, TV and an open-fire, so you can best enjoy film nights together. Carry the conversation into the kitchen, where you can prepare home-cooked meals with assistance from the appliances, before settling down at the dining table and toasting to a long-awaited getaway with your loved one.

Venture upstairs to find the double bedroom and bathroom where you can choose between bath or shower over to prepare for the day. Begin each morning with a coffee and stroll along the waterfront, taking in those calming views. From the boatyard you can launch your own boat and it’s also a fantastic spot for keen fisherman. For those evenings you don’t feel like cooking, head into the centre of Bangor and browse a wealth of pubs and restaurants, plus there are several bars, theatres and music venues for evening entertainment. For animal lovers, head to Pili Palas Nature World, or visit Anglesey Sea Zoo, both offering live feeding sessions with marine mammals and wildlife.

Those feeling adventurous and pop into the famous Menai outdoor activity centre and learn to windsurf or sail or enjoy a family day out kayaking, mountain biking or an exhilarating rib ride. Venture into Anglesey and stop off in Beaumaris, home to a bustling high street with ice cream shops and fish and chip shops, plus its resident castle, beautifully positioned and preserved from 1282. Caernarfon is a must-see town with its own sailing club, Caernarfon Castle, and its on-site Watch Tower, which are great for tours that teach about the area's history. With all this, plus the great Snowdonia National Park in close reach, 4 Old Baths provides a superb spot for exploring North Wales.

On the coast of North Wales, in the town of Bangor, there are many different stores, bars, and eateries. With two road bridges spanning the Menai Strait, it serves as the primary gateway for the Isle of Anglesey. The castle and pier in Beaumaris, which lies across the water, make for a nice day trip, or you may take a boat to Puffin Island. Beautiful landscape can be seen along the Anglesey Coastal Path, and the island is home to numerous excellent beaches, including as Rhosneigr, Trearddur Bay, and Red Wharf Bay. On the island is the National Trust property Plas Newydd, while on the mainland are the Penrhyn Castle and Bodnant Gardens, among other NT buildings. A short drive will take you to the breathtaking mountains and lakes of Snowdonia, where you can also find many castles, beaches, and other attractions. The Menai Straits and Bangor truly provide the best of both worlds!
