About this property

Rhiw - 1 Ty'n Don is a wonderful spacious apartment situated next to Porth Neigwl (Hell's Mouth) Beach and the Welsh Coastal path in Llanengan near Abersoch. Enjoying a charming and homely interior, and within easy access of the delights resting on the Llŷn Peninsula, Rhiw is the ideal home-from-home for a family of seven wanting to explore this amazing area of Wales. The apartment is accompanied by communal parking, so you can leave your vehicle in a convenient spot before entering this lovely dwelling. The living/dining room not only enjoys sea views but benefits from lovely furnishing throughout, with a pair of armchairs that make for a great reading nook, along with a corner sofa for you to gather on as you play a board game or watch TV.

Continue to the kitchen, a space that has been fitted with the essentials required to rustle up a tasty dinner, including a handy dishwasher! Savour dinner at the close-by dining table and crack open a bottle of wine to make a toast to this blissful break. The apartment hosts a delightful, ground-floor double, for added convenience; venture upstairs to find two more bedrooms, one being a triple room that is perfect for the kids or friends, and the other being a bunk room. The first floor also houses a well-equipped bathroom, where you can choose to relax your muscles in the bath or refresh yourself with a quick rinse in the walk-in shower.

The apartment enjoys access to a range of on-site facilities, from a laundrette to a Play Barn, and is a short walk away from a friendly pub in Llanengan. Spend some time in Abersoch, a picturesque village that hosts your amenities, where you can find a large variety of eateries to suit anyone’s taste, along with two beaches that benefit from access to a Sailing School and Yacht Club. Continue west along the coast from the apartment and you will find the historic attraction of Plas yn Rhiw, the quiet beach of Porth Ysgo and the quaint village of Aberdaron; walking a little further afield will bring you to the stunning area of the Mynydd Mawr, where you can find a nature reserve with panoramic, sea views.

Why not embark on a boat trip with Jenny II and try your hand at angling around the St Tudwals Islands, or board a boat to Bardsey Island from Porth Meudwy? There is so much more to see in this stunning part of Gwynedd, from its picture-postcard towns and villages to historic sites along the coast; discover it all from the base of Rhiw. Note: This property can be booked with Refs. 1086869, 1086870, 1086880, 1086900, 1086904, 1086940 and 1086949, together sleeping up to 39 guests.

The attractive harbour village of Abersoch is situated on the Llyn Peninsula in a region of Wales renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking. The village, situated between two glorious bays, is one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales and important sailing regattas are held there throughout the summer months. Numerous shops cater for the tourist as well as pubs, restaurants and cafes. There are also opportunities for golfers as there is a course just outside the village and horse riding facilities are also available nearby. Watersports enthusiasts are also well catered for, particularly windsurfing, water skiing and dinghy sailing, not to mention renowned surfing at Port Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth). The long, sandy Abersoch Main Beach is probably the most popular beach in the area. There is a wonderful selection of beaches in the surrounding area of the Llyn Peninsula, including the beautiful and often quiet Porth Ceriad, with it's high cliffs, and sandy Porth Oer ("Whistling Sands"). Most of the coastline is owned by the National Trust and there are many remote bays, sandy beaches and cliffs, as well as wildlife havens like Bardsey Island to explore.
