2km round trip. The cottage had everything we needed. The contact we received prior to departure from the owner warned us they were making improvements to the property and the builders were there working on the owners house. They were very pleasant and we didn't hear them. I did wonder what we had let ourselves in for a little when I read the email but was pleasantly surprised. The cottage had everything we needed as a family of 4. The space at the back of the property would be pleasant and private in the summer. Plenty of parking. We were warned by the owner the furniture sofa looked old but I can say it was a comfy spot for watching TV in the evening. Beds comfortable although a bit creaky and plenty of storage. Coat hanging space in the hallway but I agree hooks would be useful. Range of games and books. Limited leaflets/to do information in the cottage itself and no visitors book which I like to get a feeling of a place and suggestions from. Value for money on Feb half term. I'd say it's expensive for August but then maybe that's what rentals cost at that time of year, I'd probably just expect a bit more (welcome pack?)

We had a fantastic time , the cottage was lovely and cosy and so peaceful, near a beach and other lovely areas , the kitchen items all matched and were good quality , lovely welcome pack was much appreciated, good communication from owner , the only improvements we could think off would be a blind on the half glass front door and a hairdryer but we would return in a heartbeat, the cliffs pub restaurant did a fantastic Sunday lunch ( book in advance ) and is dog friendly in the bar area
