It was a warm and cosy cottage with all the amenities needed, The owners Rob and Angela are the most welcoming people ive met, who go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. The cottage is in a spot where you get your privacy plus it is in my opinion close to local towns, walks, attractions etc. We will definately be booking again to stay here. 5***** to the owners. Thanks, Rob & Angela

As far as the cottage is concerned, you can’t fault it. Sadly though the garden is not attached to the cottage itself and can only be reached by crossing the road down a fairly steep slope. I have mobility problems and ratbags for dogs so didn’t get to try it. It looked lovely though, and the owner said I could use a more accessible field for the dogs which was very kind. The only reason I’ve given only three stars is the lack of phone signal (there is nothing on any network at all) and the WiFi averaged 2mbs. Since this was supposed to be a working holiday that caused a major problem. It’s not something the owners can do anything about but it really needs to be made clear that for all intents and purposes there’s no WiFi. I asked both the owner and Sykes about this and was told the WiFi was fine. It really isn’t. If you want to get away from it all I thoroughly recommend but if you need to be connected it’s no good. Despite the lack of internet almost costing me my job, it’s a lovely cottage in a beautiful area so for an escape from the world it would be perfect.

As advertised, it did have lots of low ceilings but, for us, that added to its character. The owners were friendly and hospitable in an unobtrusive manner. Thank you.
