Nestled peacefully in the charming village of Trefin, in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), this traditional, detached, Welsh holiday cottage is bursting with original charm and character, making it an ideal touring base for families or couples looking to explore the spectacular coastline of beautiful Pembrokeshire. The cottage, dating back to the 18th century, was a former ship captain’s cottage which has been sympathetically restored to uncover all its original features, including stone walls, beams and lots of welcoming touches, including a wood-burning stove for those cosy nights in. Guests can enjoy their own private garden (separate from the cottage and not enclosed), where they can sit, relax and unwind after spending a busy day exploring the area. From the doorstep, guests can enjoy fantastic walks along the iconic coastal path and discover the pretty coastal villages of Solva and Porthgain, which are tucked away in tranquil fishing harbours. Visit the historic city of St. David’s, which features the magnificent 12th-century cathedral and medieval ruins of Bishop’s Palace. For the more adventurous, take a sea safari expedition around the offshore island of Ramsey, cruising close to sea birds, seals and the occasional bottlenose dolphin. The golden beaches of Newgale and Whitsands are within easy reach and are renowned for surfing and watersports. Horse riding and golf can also be found locally. Cove 500 yards. Shop 2 miles, pub 500 yards.
