About this property

Amroth 2.5 miles. This welcoming, traditional, cottage is adjacent to the owner’s home and situated on the edge of the little hamlet of Ludchurch, close to the popular seaside villages of Amroth and Wisemans Bridge, and perfect to explore the fabulous National Park. An ideal base for a family or group who want to be close to adventure-filled days, fantastic sandy beaches, fabulous watersports and some great places to eat. Set over two floors, there are four spacious bedrooms, one upstairs with an adjacent shower room and three downstairs with a family bathroom. There is a well-equipped kitchen, with everything you need to cook up delicious family meals and it has a lowered worktop area which may make it suitable for wheelchair users. After enjoying meals at the dining table together, relax in the comfy seating in the sitting room with its French doors which open onto the garden area. Outside, you can sit in the sunny front garden, with a real feeling of privacy and seclusion, perhaps with a cup of coffee and discuss the adventurous plans for the day. Within walking distance there are two caravan sites which welcome guests for dining and drinks or a short drive will take you into the coastal village of Amroth which offers a wider selection. You are close to the most eastern point of the National Park that wraps around the stunning coastline of the Pembrokeshire Coast. This in itself opens up a myriad of lazy days on beautiful beaches, meandering walks along the coast path, adrenaline fuelled watersports or relaxing evenings at some fabulous local harbourside restaurants. Pretty seaside resorts and towns such as Saundersfoot and Tenby are just a short drive away, where you can sit and watch the world go by or grab a bite to eat and sit on the harbour walls. Groups of all ages will be well catered for with a great selection of theme parks within a 15 minute drive including Heatherton World of Activities, Manor House Wildlife Park, Oakwood, Folly Farm and indoor swimming at Blue Lagoon, or swimming in the local leisure centre at nearby Tenby, so whatever the weather, fun days out are in abundance. The area offers a variety of outdoor activities including wildlife spotting boat trips, water sports, fishing, golf or horse riding as well as the fabulous coastal path that winds itself through the fabulous Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Slightly further afield, you will find striking landscape of the Preselli Hills, famous for the blue stones of Stonehenge. Alternatively, if you follow the coast to the west, many beaches and coves will entice you, and less than an hour’s drive away there is the tiny city of St David’s, with its cathedral, an impressive monument almost tucked away from view. This lovely cottage is an ideal base to explore the stunning Pembrokeshire countryside, close to fabulous beaches and great family days out, including a great mix of theme parks.

Amroth is a coastal village in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and is the southern start of the award-winning Pembrokeshire Coast Path. The village has a selection of pubs serving good food, cafes and shops close to the beach which offers safe swimming. The beautiful sandy beach stretches the whole length of the village and at extreme low tide you can still see the petrified forest, destroyed when sea levels rose 7000 years ago.
