The town of Fishguard is around a 10-minute drive away, with an array of cafés, eateries and pubs. Be sure to visit the pretty harbour at Lower Fishguard, where you can enjoy coffee and a cake or freshly caught lobster at the quay café or try your hand at kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding. The cottage was quirky and although no parking on sight I managed to park in the nearby lay-by. Good base for the areas we wanted to visit and enjoyed. Good walk out to the nearby port and along the coast to the beach. We had a comfortable few nights sleep too, cosy quilts .We did experience a few little issues but if rectified would greatly improve others stay. The lounge window didn’t fit/close properly which let in the traffic noise and the cold. The neighbour has right of way across the garden and according to the website was used infrequently. In actual fact it was used daily, which included the neighbour passing right past the kitchen window. I feel the window would benefit from a blind which would also block out the undesirable view of the back yard.I did leave a little feedback note for the owner of the issues we encountered including a few other things not mentioned here. If taken on board would definitely improve a stay in the cottage. In general we had a good week despite the weather on some days including Storm Amy.

It's a beautiful house inside but it was very very dusty but the fridge and kettle was clean. There is a bath inside the master bedroom which I was excited about using as it's huge but unfortunately the water was barely coming out so not working. The Internet kept going off so couldn't use my phone or TV at times I advise if you stay here you will need a car as we haven't and we got stuck In the village the whole week. Also you can't get an uber or a food delivery which was frustrating but the local pubs do really nice food. But pre book a table on a Saturday as they are busy.
