Economy 7 heating (winter only as background heating, electric fan heater in bathroom), electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for wood burner included. Travel cot, highchair and stairgate.. Patio area to front with garden furniture. Off road parking for 2 cars, 50 yards. 2 dogs welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times (sheep country). No smoking. . Nestled in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park, this characterful and quirky, terraced Welsh cottage is situated in the quiet village of Cwm Penmachno. It has a cosy wood burner to keep you warm on the coldest of nights, and although there is no mobile phone signal or TV reception (however guests can bring their own DVDs as there is a DVD player in the property), the owner provides a great choice of DVDs to watch – or you can take your own. You can also take your bike and ride one of the many bike trails in the area (bike hire is available nearby), or go walking in the Gwydyr Forest and see the fantastic wildlife! Thrill seekers will love Zip World Fforest, with its amazing treetop nets, in the pretty village of Betws-y-Coed, whilst you can do the same at Bounce Below in Blaenau Ffestiniog but deep underground in an old slate cavern, or even soar overhead on the world’s largest zip wire zone! If you’re a surf dude, then Surf Snowdonia, the world’s first artificial surfing lagoon, is only 16 miles away and is great for catching a wave, or a coffee and a cake! The Ffestiniog Railway, Portmeirion and Porthmadog are all within easy reach, as is Conwy and Llandudno. Shop 3 miles, pub 4 miles and restaurant 8 miles.

    Beautiful views the cottage was a little bit out of date for are liking but plenty enough we only used it to sleep as we enjoyed the surrounding countryside and restaurants.The log burner made the cottage nice and cosy and help to dry are clothes the local shop had plenty of logs we could buy

    I love this little cottage. Always clean and thoughtful touches, like fairy lights in the living room, cot, highchair and even a potty. Beautiful location too, views from the cottage outstanding This was our second visit and will definitely be returning.
