A 200-year old traditional, stone, end-terrace cottage, on the edge of Ysbyty Ifan, on the banks of the River Conwy, six miles from Betws-y-Coed. Overlooking the church, this Betws-y-Coed cottage is the last property on the outskirts of the village, enjoying a superb location on the edge of country fields, next to a babbling brook that adds to the countryside charm. This Betws-y-Coed cottage retains many original features, with an inglenook fireplace housing a log burner-effect electric stove, exposed stone chimney breast and exposed beamed ceilings throughout. There is welcoming accommodation at this Ysbyty Ifan cottage, with two bedrooms, a cosy sitting room and a bright kitchen with dining area. A stable door leads out into an enclosed, rear courtyard garden. Guests can relax in this lovely setting, with a fantastic, sheltered, outdoor eating and seating area, and can listen to the sound of the brook, whilst taking in the views over the hills and fields beyond. This Betws-y-Coed cottage is a walker's dream, as there are peaceful mountain and forest walks, fantastic waterfalls and beautiful views from the surrounding hills. The nearby village of Betws-y-Coed offers shops, pubs and eateries and is a wonderful place to visit. With all of Snowdonia around you, this Ysbyty Ifan cottage is a fantastic Welsh retreat, all year round.
A small village just 6 miles from Betws-y-Coed, Ysbyty Ifan lies within the Snowdonia National Park. It is a 'National Trust' village, and was birthplace of Abraham Lincoln's great grandmother.
