Amid a large 19th-century manor house, this converted cottage offers a scenic place to stay in rural North Wales. Situated on the northern edge of Snowdonia and with the coastline a short drive away (6 miles), you’re exceptionally well-positioned for excursions and thrilling days out. The cottage is one of three properties converted from the house’s old ballroom and is exceptionally well-maintained with original features. It’s cosy and compact with space for four guests in total, an option suited to a small family or a couple eager to spread out and enjoy that little bit more space. Make use of your private patio alongside the shared lawn space elsewhere on site.
Sympathetically updated, the cottage offers authentic wooden beams, low, angled ceilings, modern décor, and up-to-date appliances, all-in-all creating a real home-from-home. Kick back and relax in the lounge/diner on the ground floor, a place with a wood burner effect gas fire set into the wall and ready to keep you warm and cosy throughout mealtimes or as you settle down in front of the TV. The kitchen is just next door, complete with a washing machine and dishwasher to help you out with chores throughout your stay. Upstairs find two bedrooms, each one offering countryside views and served by a family bathroom.
Venture 4.5 miles to the energetic riverside town of Conwy, a UNESCO World Heritage site with an ancient castle, vibrant 16th-century architecture and a lively quay with boats coming in and out. On the edge of the town, Conwy Morfa Beach (5.5 miles) is a sandy bay with shops and cafes, an ideal place to spend the day when the sun shines. For hiking and bike riding, visit Gwydyr Forest Park (13 miles), embark on an adventure up Carnedd Llewelyn (11 miles) or take a lovely stroll amongst the dramatic waterfalls at Aber Falls (8.5 miles).
