This traditional end-terraced Welsh cottage has been sympathetically restored and has a lovely open plan living space on the ground floor, which features both an open fire and a multi-fuel burner. Ideally located in the village of Dolwyddelan, in the Snowdonia National Park, there are walks from the door, including the quiet and hidden valley of Cwm Penamnen, which is great for walking (including dogs). The small castle at Dolwyddelan (Cadw) is well worth a visit, and you are only 5 miles from the exciting Bounce Below and Zip World complex at Blaenau Ffestiniog. In the other direction is picturesque Betws-y-Coed with the Zip World Fforest Coaster, the market town of Llanrwst and the Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno – in fact, you can hop on the train from the station in Dolwyddelan to explore these if you want to leave the car behind! Beach 20 miles. Shop and pub ¼ mile, restaurant ½ mile.

As soon as I opened the front door I felt a warm welcome feeling. It is a place filled with love from the personal photos to the flowers in the vases and the tapestries up the stairs. The kitchen is small and quirky but is stocked with everything you need for a family of 4 stay. You then open the back door to a small garden a running stream and woodland it is breathtaking and so peaceful. Upstairs the bedrooms are beautiful and your head will just sink into the feather pillows. The master bedroom as you look out the window you are seeing the mountains i could have sat there for hours. The village itself is so lovely with beautiful walks to take. The locals are very friendly and welcoming. The spar shop sells almost everything you need and although I have not used it the pub looked very welcoming too. I will recommend this cottage to anyone.

We had a great holiday. Although there is no washing machine, the laundrette in Llanwrst is super. We couldn't find an ironing board and food storage is limited, but the house was clean, cosy and central.
