This beautiful, detached cottage, just a short distance away from the market town of Llanrwst, is the perfect place to have an indulgent and relaxing time away. Whether you want to take a leisurely stroll down into Llanrwst for lunch, or drive over to the nearby village of Betws-y-Coed, there are plenty of memorable places to visit. For the adventurous amongst you, the cottage is situated only a short drive from Adventure Parc Snowdonia, where you can take part in an array of activities, from rock climbing to aerial assault courses, and you can even try your hand at surfing. Alternatively, take a long walk over to either Llyn Geirionydd or Crafnant to admire the beautiful lakes.
After a day of exploring all the local area has to offer, come back to this characterful and lovingly finished cottage and enjoy some family time. Cook yourself a fresh meal in the modern open plan kitchen/dining room, where you can all sit comfortably and reminisce about the day’s activities. This was the most perfect and magical retreat, on a wooded hill side with a spectacular view across the valley. The cottage was spacious and comfortable, and Julie left us a welcome basket of produce. One awakes to the sounds of birds and sheep, and little else. Llanrwst nearby is a friendly little market town, excellent butcher and bakery, and a couple of good antique shops. Would highly recommend for lovers of tranquility and great walks.

Fabulous cottage in a stunning location. It feels like a home. Everything about Clawdd Gwyn is of a great standard. The quality of furniture and plentiful kitchen equipment suffice for entertaining those who stay here. A great woodburner with plenty of wood in the outdoor log store.There are some lovely walks right on the doorstep. Walking into Llanwrst is also easy.We would have liked a couple more bath towels for our visit and a heads up as to the make and model of coffee machine that is supplied (Nespresso Vertuo) so we could have brought some pods along.Also, as previous guests have commented, the road to the property is single track which can be a bit daunting should you meet traffic but this isn't a busy track. Plus, the entrance to the large parking area is a bit narrow for a large car with a couple of boulders either side that could maybe be painted in some way so that they stand out.Would definitely return to this property as the location is great for exploring.

This is an amazing place to stay. It’s cosy and comfy and has everything you could possibly need. The location is beautiful, and it’s well placed for easily visiting all the area has to offer. We would definitely like to return, and would highly recommend it to anyone. It is suitable for all seasons, as it has a wonderful woodburner, easy to use heating, as well as a lovely garden with great garden furniture.
