About this property

An outstanding, beautifully presented, semi-detached cottage, converted from a Grade II listed Old Workhouse in a courtyard position in the centre of Bala town. This delightful Bala cottage boasts wonderful furnishings, a vaulted ceiling and hardwood floors, providing contemporary accommodation that's perfect for a couple. With a welcoming and comfortable sitting room with dining area and a well-equipped kitchen, a ground floor shower room and a galleried king-size double bedroom, this cottage is an excellent holiday home to return to after a busy day exploring this beautiful part of Wales. This Bala cottage is in a superb central location, set back from the main part of the town, but only a two-minute walk to pubs, restaurants, shops and the famous lake. Bala Lake offers a number of watersports and fishing, or explore the area either on foot through the surrounding countryside or by taking a ride on the miniature steam railway. Nearby is the famous National White Water Centre, where you may wish to try your hand at rafting or canoeing. Back in Bala town there is a fantastic leisure centre with indoor swimming pool and a golf course. This Bala cottage will not disappoint, and offers a warm and welcoming base for a great North Wales holiday at any time of year.

....and we weren't disappointed. This cottage is absolutely beautifully furnished to a high standard and was spotlessly clean. There are games and books for rainy days! Imagine our surprise when we arrived and saw it was even decorated for Christmas with lovely gfifts left by the owners. Stan loved his gift too - thank you! The courtyard was ideal for him too, he could have a little wander safely. Thank you Richard and Debbie we will most definitely be back (hopefully it won't rain so much next time!!)
