Annest Cottage offers a fabulous location for exploring North Wales, with easy access to Snowdon and nearby attractions. Guests have appreciated the property's setting and the warm welcome provided by thoughtful touches such as Welsh biscuits and jams. While some guests have reported issues with cleanliness and maintenance, recent reviews suggest improvements have been made.
Cleanliness has been a significant concern, with multiple reports of inadequate cleaning, unflushed toilets, and dusty surfaces. However, a recent review indicates that a new cleaning company has addressed these issues, suggesting some improvement.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to walking trails, Snowdon, and other attractions. The ease of parking and the scenic river walk from the cottage are notable positives. However, concerns about road safety have been mentioned.
Guests have found the beds comfortable and the cottage warm, with a lovely log burner adding to the cosiness. Some guests felt the property layout was awkward and the kitchen under-equipped for a family.
Facilities and maintenance issues have been highlighted, including water supply problems, lack of essential items, and broken appliances. The need for more kitchen equipment and a washing machine has been suggested to enhance the stay.
Welcoming touches like tea, coffee, sugar, milk, and Welsh biscuits have been appreciated, although there have been inconsistencies with the provision of these items. It's important to note that such gifts, while offered, are not guaranteed.
