Barmouth 4.2 miles. A rural characterful cottage set just outside the seaside resort of Barmouth, surrounded by 26 acres of woodlands. With original character features such as exposed stonework and original beams, this holiday home is ideal for those wishing to explore the North Wales countryside and the villages in the immediate area. Once inside the cottage there is a good-sized tiled hallway with space to store coats and boots. Off the hallway there is a spacious living room with plenty of character features, including exposed stonework and high ceilings. There are two comfy sofas, perfect for relaxing and putting your feet up at the end of a busy day.
The kitchen is of a good size with a dining area, making it a good sociable room, enjoying a home-cooked meal and discussing the days adventures. There are two spacious bedrooms with the flexibility of a double and a twin as well as a family bathroom. To the outside of the property is an enclosed courtyard garden with patio furniture, making it a great place to sit and relax enjoying the lovely countryside views and the sounds of the wildlife. The cottage has plenty of fantastic walking opportunities from the doorstep alongside the Mawddach Estuary and Trail as well as being a dog walkers paradise with you able to explore the propertys grounds at any time.
Nearby Barmouth is a popular seaside town with plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants to enjoy as well as an enormous sandy Blue Flag beach, perfect for a family day out. Barmouth is surrounded by the Snowdonia National Park as well as Mount Cader Idris being nearby, making it a paradise for walkers, cyclists and climbers. Nearby Harlech, with its castle, and Dolgellau are great towns to visit with plenty of beaches as well as shops, pubs and restaurants to frequent. Further afield are the towns of Porthmadog and Portmeirion to enjoy. With plenty of things to see and do, you will be spoilt for choice.

Barmouth is surrounded by the unrivalled splendour of the Snowdonia National Park. This seaside town boasts an enormous sandy Blue Flag beach and a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants. A paradise for walkers, climbers and cyclists, Mount Cader Idris is nearby. An abundance of wildlife along the Mawddach Estuary, trout fishing in mountain lakes, Harlech Castle, St David’s golf course and Portmeirion Italianate Village are areas to visit.

We absolutely love the cottage & its location. Itâs the ideal place to take dogs as itâs in quiet, peaceful rural location. The dogs can come in and out of the courtyard without getting dirty & this time of year we do get sick of washing mucky paws! The general maintenance is not too good now but understandable as it is up for sale. We are extremely sad the property will no longer be available to rent.

Although in a lot of way it suits our needs. The overall maintenance of the property has declined. The key lock was broken when we arrived, the shower cord needed some manipulation to work. The curtain rail over the front door is hanging off. Some of the utensils are missing e.g. a vegetable knife and cheese grater. Again we mention that the whole property needs a deep clean.

Stayed at the cottage numerous times now each time the facilities and cleanliness let this lovely cottage down the cutlery is of no use half of it is missing the knives are blunt we had to buy our own the overall cleaning was not to standard being a plumber I had to clean out the shower tray exactly the same as it was before when we stayed overall a very poor effort and unfortunately for the price that's the last time we would stay there
